Uh... Who even put Michigan in the discussion?

Michigan has the most wins all time at 910. Next closest is Yale at 877. They also have 11 national titles, although only 1 since 1950

They have 2 real national titles, and they've been playing football for way longer than most everybody else, which gives them the most wins. I think the fact that you pointed out Yale is in second further proves the point that all time wins is a bad barometer.
They're probably the most underperforming football program of all time (well, maybe Georgia).

When you're talking best football program of all time, OU, ND, USC, and Bama are the only programs worth considering.

Hell, Ohio State has a much better case than Michigan of being in the conversation.

The fact we're sitting 5th in that poll is a joke.

Precisely why the vote of the fans never counts in the real sports world except for meaningless All-Star games. Back in 2004 ESPN put together their all-conference teams for their 25th anniversary. To be eligible, the player's career could not precede 1979. Wayman Tisdale and Danny Manning were the obvious choices at forward (Steve Stipanovich was the center, and TJ Ford and Mitch Richmond the guards). They also let the "fans" vote as well. In that poll, Wayman Tisdale was beaten out by Marcus Fizer. Since there are thousands of these examples, I've long learned not to give any credence to fan voting.

I did what I could to help. Still not nearly enough it seems.
