In it he says that Trae Young is essentially "Ben Simmons" a great player on a bad team and will be terrible. Then proceeds to say: "I hope he enjoys playing in front of the 10s in the LNC." :ez-laugh:

To be honest I found that very funny... sour grapes; but funny nonetheless. He's right that our crowds have been terrible this year, but to be fair the Cowboy's crowds last year were terrible due to their being bad last year. And also to be fair, they are not that much better than us this year... They of course have a better record and a very good PG; but to suggest the reason Trae chose OU was due to a logjam at the Guard position (this was all in the context of Evans leaving early)... Just makes me laugh! :ez-laugh:

I predict that we are top 5 in conference next year minimum and we could have the ceiling of challenging Kansas et al for the crown. I really like what we have already and think Young is the piece that makes all the other pieces that much better.

According to the Big XII website OU is beating OSU in attendance this season by close to 1500 per game. They have third lowest attendance in the conference. But you know, those in glass houses...

I didn't think I could read anything from a "Poke Site" without yacking up my dinner. But I will assume that many of the Poke Persuasion are going around saying that Young is driving a fancy car and wearing fancier clothes just since 12:05 p.m. today. That's their usual response to any OU recruiting success.

Well they didn't go that far, at least on this sight, but downplayed his abilities to a certain degree. And I chose to do this as far away from a meal as I could

Yep. Good find... it was in the context of the whole red river rivalry narrative, where 10 min before the game. Which to be fair was a porous turnout from our fans... but was no surprise it being VDAY and is being in the midst of a losing streak.

In regards to osu, recruiting, etc. they've had some pretty good gets with really little to offer. I've always been a bit skeptical. Evans for example. Why the hell would he go there? Coach with a death wish. No recent success. Place is in the middle of nowhere.

Yes they have pulled in big time recruits. Ford for whatever reason was a great recruiter... however, that did not always translate on the court. Here's the thing: they claim they are a BBALL school and yet have very similar results to a Football school in basketball. Good recruits or not so good... and to be honest Underwood may succeed where Ford failed... but time will tell... yeah doesn't make sense in regards to big time recruits, but hey gotta give some credit there...

You never see anything remotely similar to that on an OU site. The guy who wrote that should not just feel dirty, he should be downright ashamed.
