You know what you have to do. Now go do it!

do we cheer to lose out??? or will it inevitably happen

The answer to that question is, NO! Joe C is so determined to prove how right he was in hiring Capel, he will not admit he made a mistake. Trust me, it's not going to happen.

I agree and that is also why I say this may be Joe C's ultimate downfall at OU. That just isn't smart but it seems to be where Joe is. He has a lot of goodwill so perhaps he can be stubborn for a few years and hold off his detractors but the alumni are going to make a lot of noise soon and that noise could change quickly from fire Capel to fire Capel and Joe C.

This is almost laughable. Joe C wont ever be fired b/c of the mens basketball team. Some of you are wayyyyy to nearsighted. Look at it from a bigger perspective. Hes done too many great things for OU. As long as Stoops keeps singing his praises this isnt even up for debate. Just the way it is. Sorry guys, its just not as important as it should be here.

Joe C. gets the credit for Stoops coming and for Stoops staying. There isn't going to be a serious call for Joe's head within in the ranks of people who have influence, because of Men's basketball.

Agreed. I have said for sometime that Capel is not going anywhere until the AD has given him every opportunity to prove he was right in his choice of a head coach.

Joe's successes of the past are the main reason why he can get away with ignoring the obvious with Capel. If he was on shaky ground with his superiors, he might face a "make a change or else" scenario. But since that is not the case, Joe C. is going to do things his way, even if it means sacrificing what is left of the basketball program.

Bingo! If you are fire capel or keep him one more year, THIS is the bottom line. So, why are we still arguing this point. I think I can speak for everyone when I say when he comes back next year and if we start to lose there wont be one person still in his camp.

There is little doubt that if he comes back next year, he is on the hottest of seats.

I think the worst part about this year is knowing that it's not going to get better for at least another 12 months. Sigh.

fify. Next year won't be that much better, if Capel saves his job with a NIT bid I'm going to throw up

After last night performance I am in agreement that Capel needs to pack his bags and head somewhere. As for Joe C. anyone who thinks that OU is going to can him over the basketball program needs to get off the stuff he is smoking, Joe C. is the right man for the right job and that's OU.

Capel has lost his control and that was shown last night now its time to hit the road and for those who say "who will we bring in" well there are good coaches out there that would jump at this job and make something happen.

my 2 cents
