I have 4 tickets to the 1st and 2nd round...all 3 sessions...in OKC. I'm no longer able to make it. If anyone is interested, I'd make a great deal! If not, what site is the best to resell tickets?

I hate to bump this thread, but I am selling all four of these tickets on Craigslist for $550 (50 below face value), but would sell to someone on here for $510 ($10 of that to cover PayPal fees and shipping costs, which will actually be more than that most likely). I've had a few offers for about the same from Craigslist, but figured I would give you all first crack.

I think Groupon has 1st and 2nd Session for $45 and $50 respectively and I believe face value for each session is $50, so definitely selling well below face value (which would be $600 for all four tickets for all three sessions).

Section 314, Row E, Seats 11-14. Corner, upper level.

I won't bump this thread again, but figured I'd give you all a shot at them.

Got this in an email from OU today. No tickets for me!

The demand from Oklahoma fans for 2016 NCAA Tournament 1st & 2nd Round at Oklahoma City tickets (2,528 tickets were requested by our fan base) far exceeded the 450 ticket allotment we are guaranteed by the NCAA.

Due to demand, only men's basketball season ticket holders that are Bud Wilkinson donors with 2945.5 or more priority points were allotted tickets.

Although we will not know where the Sooners are playing in the 1st & 2nd Rounds of NCAA Tournament until confirmed on the March 13th CBS Selection Show, we want to give all fans ample time to make plans if we are selected to the Oklahoma City site. We also want to share that NCAA Tournament at Oklahoma City tickets are currently available through Chesapeake Energy Arena or StubHub.com.

Although we certainly wish we could accommodate every Sooner Club member and season ticket holder with NCAA-OKC tickets, it simply was not possible due to tremendous demand.

Are there still tickets available from the arena?

As of Saturday, yes....they were available on TicketMaster. I believe Prime Sports is the official exchange for the NCAA tourney, so I've listed mine on there. All three sessions through Ticket Master are 150 bucks with a 6 dollar fee, so when I bought 4 tickets to all 4 sessions, it came to $606 I believe. I listed mine on PrimeSports but it doesn't allow them to be listed below face value and it $200 was the cheapest it would let me list it...not sure why, since face value is $150 per ticket. Maybe buying all three sessions separately is more expensive. I have yet to sell my tickets but my above offer stands. These tickets are in Section 314 and Row E which is actually the first row in the section. I'll probably list mine on StubHub too, but PrimeSports fees were much more reasonable.

Those are the empty seats on the east side. Figures they get them.

That is not entirely fair. There are many big donors that do attend all (100%) of the home games. Some of them even attend the away games and will be traveling to the Big-12 Tournament in Kansas City. Also, some of the big donors sit on the west side of the LNC.

The problem is that each school only receives 450 tickets to the opening round games. As a "medium donor" I did not get any tickets either. Depending on the other teams sent to OKC, it is possible that the scalper market outside the arena on game day will be reasonable.

I can't believe the allotment is only 450 tickets. I guess we will get the Groupon and sell the other session to KU fans. Hate the 300 level at that arena though.

That's how I intend to get Final 4 tickets here in Houston. The finals are easy to attend on Monday night, but you have to pay up for the Saturday semis. I've gone to 5 Final Fours and had to buy scalper tickets to 3 of them. Even if you go with a friend, you have to agree you're not likely to find 2 tickets together.

The first session of a weekend are the tougher ticket to buy. Its fairly easy to buy the final session tickets by standing outside the arena and buying them from fans of the losing team of an early session.

I can't believe the allotment is only 450 tickets. . . . . .

It has been that way for a long time. The allotment goes up significantly if you make the Sweet-16, as 75% of the teams are gone by then.

Back in 1988 the same thing happened. I could not get tickets thru OU to the first round games in Atlanta, but I was able to get tickets to the Southeast Region semifinals (Sweet-16) and finals (Elite-8) in Birmingham, Alabama.

If they truly wanted to do it based fairness, the first qualification would be attendance. Season ticket holders who made all the games should be considered first.

I imagine the 450 allotment also includes family of coaches and players. Simply not many tickets period.

8 teams, 450 per team is only 3600. Does that mean the other 15,000 or so are just open to the public

Good question. It would be nice to know the details about the NCAA ticket distribution.

I know that for some college football bowl games, the local NFL football season ticket holders get first crack at many of the prime seating locations.

Football.

Those will be the people at the game in OU gear, asking, "Which one is Buddy?"{

:facepalm
