As a result of the FBI’s investigation into college basketball, Oklahoma State has received an NCAA notice of allegation for a Level I violation, the university announced Friday afternoon.
Former associate head coach and recruiting coordinator Lamont Evans is accused of knowingly soliciting and receiving benefits to arrange meetings between players and financial advisers, according to the notice from the NCAA. Evans was fired after federal charges were announced and ultimately sentenced to three months in prison.
If I were osu, I wouldn’t cooperate at all. I would wait and see what happens to KU and when KU gets off with little to no punishment, I’d follow their defense strategy.
The best part of the trump defense is the fact that he did nothing wrong... But we're not supposed to do politics on here ABD
Back to the OP. Does this affect osu’s recruiting any this year or mostly 2021?
Since all of the perps are gone now, I doubt if the penalty will be too severe. That is, unless the NCAA decides to give OSU a harsher penalty to lessen the blow on KU.
I said that mostly in jest. But the NCAA will almost certainly put a hurt on someone to prove they’re in charge. I still hope it’s Self and KU. But nothing would surprise me.
lets keep politics somewhere else
