Why are they in on (and even getting) all of these top recruits? It can't just be money, since they are competing schools with just as much, if not more, money. Curious if there is something OU can be doing to try to mimic what they are doing, at least recruiting-wise.

Do they have fans that attend games?

That might be a nice trick to mimic

Have you heard!? Phil Knight. Owner of Nike.

Payed Bol Bol.

We have a top 15 class coming in... please enjoy that! It’s not easy!

I laughed out loud. So true.

The best gimmick would be for fans to show up every game and support the basketball program. If OU fans would support basketball half as much as football, we’d be doing great.

There facilities are in a complete different level than ours. Dana does a great job attracting guys there. He also evaluates a bunch of lesser guys who develop into big time players.
Nike is huge for a bunch of teams but nothing like Knight is personally for Oregon.

Our facilities are some of the best in the entire country. Oregon is not on a completely different level. That's bs.

You’re crazy. Our basketball facilities, especially the outdated LNC are lagging behind. Oregon’s basketball facilities are legit.

OU has one of if not the best basketball strengh and conditioning center in the country BUT

the basketball practice facility is no longer among the best it is likely in top half of the Power 6 for basketball

and the LNC is clearly in the bottom half of the power 6 ..

so the facilities are very much a mixed bag ..

Not sure if this matters... But if all things were equal (costs, economic conditions, etc) nobody would choose Norman, OK over Eugene, Oregon... Oregon is one of the prettiest states and a great place to live.

I am born and raised in Oklahoma, and lived in Colorado for awhile... And I could see why living in Oregon would be appealing.

They also get recruits girlfriends to convince them to stay in Oregon and play for the local school.

Do you work for Joe C?

The Griffin center is fantastic. We have one court for practice. That’s right up there with Putnam City high school. Please don’t drink the kool aid when it comes to our facilities. I have no idea where they stand nationwide but they don’t compare to a bunch of programs. Oregon being at the top of the list.

Doubt that it matters much but I couldn't agree more. Oregon is phenomenal.
