Ortiz, Edwards, Williams, Dungee, and Wyatt make for an interesting group of ball-handlers to bring in during the next couple of years. What is interesting is that all of these are known for their ability to distribute, as much as their scoring. I've only seen Wyatt and Ortiz, with a few moments of Dungee, but it is clear that they bring hands to the court. From reading about Williams and Edwards at Northeast, it is difficult to see which was the point guard. They had about the same number of assists with Edwards having slightly more. Williams had slightly more steals. Williams three-point shooting stats are not listed, but Edwards was about 36%. They are both known as ball hawks.
Dungee and Ortiz have been playing a long time, largely coached by their fathers at an early age.
The ball seems to find the hands of these five players. What is remarkable is how quickly they react when they do get the ball. They seem to have little hesitation.
If you can get the ball to a shooter at the right time, it seems to add six inches to their height. I suspect that there will be more than just these players feeding interior players. I suspect that they will use their hands to feed each other. OU seems to fumble with the ball sometimes. Somehow, I think this group of players will end that. This is a good hands group coming in.
