Is someone hurt for us that we don't know about? The line opened at 8 and is up to 9.5. I think it's a 2-3 posession game. Something like 68-64 bad guys. 9.5 is too high.

I would never bet on college basketball games. There's so much variability from game to game and team to team, it's virtually impossible to predict anything.

That's true to some extent but the trends still hold true a majority of the time.

Which trends are those?

I'd also add that I would never, under any circumstance, EVER bet on my own team. That's just asking to lose money.

Are you Evan Pfaff by chance?

You're absolutely right about betting on your own team, that's a big no-no.

Just for an example, Team Y is 9-1 ATS over their last 10 games when the total is 130-136.5. That would be kind of trends I am talking about.

I had to google who Evan Pfaff was... so no. I've never really read anything on SB Nation. Is that any more legitimate than bleacherreport? 'Cause it looks like kinda the same thing, and I absolutely loathe bleacherreport.

Yeah... I don't really ever bet on sports. No idea what that second number is supposed to represent.

Just curious since you spend so much time on our board. He seems like a pretty fair dude on there. Its an alright site. Run by a Baylor fan, a tiger, and a wildcat.

SB Nation is somewhat more legitimate than Bleacher Report...I don't think they actually break any news, but the blogs that contribute to SB Nation are at least proofread, so it's much more professional.

At the very least you should check out EDSBS...pure gold.

I used to read EDSBS before it was an SB Nation blog (pretty sure it started out independent). Guess I'm not a big enough college football fan to really care about it that much, though.

I spend as much time here as I do because it's really the only board I've found like it. There definitely isn't a Mizzou equivalent. Missouri really is more of a football school and generally a baseball-first state. Basketball is an afterthought for a lot of people. I've had to branch out to non-Mizzou sites for basketball discussion (plus I enjoy the variety of views I get at a non-Mizzou site; at any Mizzou site it's difficult to have a discussion that isn't hijacked by overzealous fans on either side). If there were other sites like this for other teams, I'd probably be on them some, as well, but I haven't found any.

somebody check pocketfives.com maybe one of our players is in bed with the mob.

9.5 seems too high to me. I really don't want either side of that bet but if I had to factor in the line I would take OU. Neither team has impressed me that much on the season

Which way?

I think he means
