Phil Forte is gonna be Phil Forte... will average 15-17 ppg and can go off on any night..

Juwan Evans is probably the best PG in the Big 12, maybe even better.

Jeffrey Carroll is going to make a huge leap... Guy can flat out score.

Going to be a good team.

You're right about OSU's guards. Forte is good, Evans is really good. Carroll is a nice piece coming off of the bench, and so is Waters.

I don't think the Pokes have enough ultra-special guards to carry them without getting more help from their role players. Solomon had 1 point and 0 rebounds in last night's game, before fouling out with only 16 minutes of playing time. Two other starters (Hammonds and Shine) were scoreless. So, I wouldn't get on OSU's bandwagon too early if I were you.

Pokes will be better this year than they have been the last 3-4 years. I'm not saying it will translate to more wins, but they will have better coaching. Underwood is the hire that program needed desperately to write the wrongs of the "Talent shoots first, everyone else block out" BS that was Travis Ford. With that said, we will sweep them this year.

I don't think you will see Carroll and McGriff on the bench much longer... Carroll had 22 points in 20 minutes in the exhibition and 22 points in 16 minutes in the opener.

Agreed. I was surprised to see Solomon in the starting lineup. He's a decent 10 to 12 minutes role player, depending on the match ups. He's just not good enough to start on most D-1 teams. Shine is better than he showed in last night's game.

A cardboard cutout of Ford would have been better coaching than himself live. At least the cutout wouldn't boo the refs!!!

Monte Morris is the best PG in the Big 12 & Mason and Graham are better also. Evans & Forte are really good, however.

Evans is the best prospect out of all of them. He'll be better than them by the end of the season, which is saying a lot bc those guys can really play.
