OT:Baylor in the news!

Re: Baylor in the news!

I mean honestly who would feel safe having any girl in your family go to Baylor?

Really old news. A new lawsuit regarding a gang rape referenced in the Pepper Hamilton report several years back.

But most definitely Baylor should resolve these matters ASAP and move on to focus on making their campus a safe place for young ladies.

Baylor does not belong in either the Big-12 or the NCAA.

Any remaining BU fans need to be careful about attending games in Waco. WBB teams playing there need to hire extra security - and NEVER stay in Waco before or after games there.

And it isn't old news. The suit should never have gotten to this point. Does anyone doubt the "plaintiff" mentioned is telling the truth? Look how many times she reached out to BU officials for help and support. The fact BU has not already settled this out of court - with about whatever she asks - is a strong piece of evidence that the story is current news.

When will they do the right thing for this young woman? At least as much as it is their power to "do the right thing" at this late point.

What were Mulkey's words about how unfair all this was to BU - or something to that effect? Yet some on here want OU to hire a coach with her values and methods. Give me a break!

Very true!

Kim Mulkey is should be horribly ashamed of herself but I'm sure she's not. She only commented because recruits parents were concerned (very rightly so!) and commenting about the issue! This is the ONLY reason she commented!

Hypocrite U is HOPING this is old news and that people will forget!!! This has to continue to stay at the forefront of athletic news so that no one allows this vile institution to skirt by without tremendous consequences for not only the crimes against women by a lot of the football players, but maybe even more important that the scum administration covered up these crimes because it would hurt their football program! This scum institution should lose all accreditation it has as an institution of higher learning!!!

Wow, a bit of an over reaction don't you think? WBB need to hire extra security? You really think a football player is going to target a visiting player? Never stay in Waco? That is just silly. You greatly amuse me most of the time.

There were tons of posts last fall on various OU sites about how BU fans were claiming it was all a giant conspiracy, cooked up by OU, Texas and TCU to impugn Baylor football because they were "too good" on the field. That also included pull-quotes from stupid letters to the Waco Trib that claimed the women were at fault.

I even remember some insane talk from them that Mixon was worse than some of those guys from Briles' earlier BU teams who were already in prison for sex crimes.

As for hoops fans, their men's fans didn't bother me the one time I went down there for a game in 2000. But I've heard their WBB home fans aren't much better than rabid OSU fans at GIA.

Several new books will have to be written to keep up with all of this crime and corruption.

And, exactly what part of her statement is not accurate?
