Is Shaka one of the most overrated coaches??? He can recruit but that’s about it. He’s had plenty of time to turn the whorns around and has had great talent. Look at what Barnes is doing at Tennessee! Maybe it’s just asstin?

Barnes has REALLY made an impact on Tennessee basketball. he caught a second wind and has them playing so much better. He's a better coach than Shaka by far.

Baylor beat Oregon.....who is arguably the best team in the Pac 12 right now.

Yes....Shaka is incredibly overrated. He made his name by having one magical run to the Final 4 with VCU in 2011. And alot of "experts" still maintain he is a really good coach. Yet most people dont know that he never even won a regular season Atlantic 10 title while at VCU. Texas fans have been grumbling for several seasons now.

I hope he stays at Texas for a long time. He will get good players, but he will continually underachieve.

Arizona State is probably their best team, and Oregon was missing Bol Bol. Nevertheless, not a bad thing for one of the weaker Big 12 teams to pick off a solid win.

I dont think it's that Shaka is a bad coach. I think he lacks experience so he's less successful with differing teams. When he has exactly what he needs then he succeeds. When he has to alter things there are problems. He just has a lot of learning to do about the job.

I dont think he is a bad coach....he is just a very incomplete coach. And he certainly doesn't seem to be the type of coach who is going to have moderately consistent success at a P-5 school.....I think he needs to stick to mid-major jobs.

You're right Wichita....I totally forgot about ASU. I was skimming too quickly over Kenpom and missed them.

Wisconsin handed Michigan its first loss today. That's a good thing for us.

vandy playing tenn tight...a few minutes into 2nd half.

It would be a mistake if our players look ahead beyond tonight’s game. But they had better be ready to play when the Commodores come to town this weekend. Vandy is giving the #1 ranked Volunteers everything they want so far.

Game is tied 55-55 at the twelve minute mark.

Yet another example of why it is silly to ever view any game against a power conference opponent as an easy win. Vandy lost their best player for the season and clearly is struggling without him, but they are obviously capable of putting it together in any given game.
