Have watched all or parts of games by TCU, Tech, K-State, Kansas, Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona and Oklahoma State highlights. Another good looking inside player

Kansas, our next opponent dominated A&M-Corpus Christi. Can't tell much because hard to evaluate opposition but they played great team defense and ran a pretty good offense. Didn't see much inside strength but the Oklahoma girl on that team is pretty good.

K-State and OSU have enough inside size to be a problem. Reeves a 6-5 juco transfer along with returned Mack will give us a lot of grief.

Pellington played 19 minutes and scored 11 points with 0 turnovers. Must be something in the water out there. Arizona is ranked #2 in the Pac-12 but had their problems with Northern Arizona.

Gray helps Tech but they don't have the inside strength this year. Good point guard.

TCU looks athletic but I didn't see a dominant inside presence.

Oregon may be better than last year. Transfers Mickell and Prince scored 45 points while taking 22 shots from the floor. The three top outside shooters (Shelly, Bolen and Chavez) from last year going 0 for 11 from behind the arc. Exactly half of the 116 points scored by Oregon came off the bench. Strange how those transfers don't seem to harm Oregon's team chemistry. Bolen is also a transfer.

Oregon State has almost a new team with the 6-7 Jones a key returnee. Rueck is a good coach so they will play everyone tough.

Lots of excitement in other programs across the conference and the country. The exact opposite for our program. Why can't SC fill all 15 scholarships, so that we don't have to pull volleyball players or other walk-ons? What is so hard about that? I suppose when your program has been declining steadily, then rapidly it might be hard to convince a prospect to commit, thus the 'project' type of players we've signed too much recently. How can it be that we do not have one true center on our team? How or why did our coaches not go out and scour the earth for some height in the off-season?? Did they really think Simpson would be the answer? Right now i'm sure SC is missing Lampkin and Willisten who i'm certain will both succeed wherever they end up playing next. It's just so frustrating as a fan to see these easy fixes that SC refuses to implement. How many seasons will we have to be an embarrassment before JC does something here? Surely we aren't expected as fans to put up with 3 more seasons of 10 wins/season?? I'm hoping and praying with Ana back next year and with what we return (unless we have a mass exodus of transfers), plus the 4 commits we might have a 15 win or more season. I still believe we need to add one more tall and truly talented commit for this next freshman class, but we know that probably won't happen. :( Just a very negative vibe with this program right now on account of the many, many losses, which seem to be all that we can look forward to in the near future.

Maybe Sherri thanks we have a pro fanchise and we are "tanking" like the OKC Thunder so we can get a high draft choice. :ez-laugh:

Baylor doesn’t look unbeatable this year, they literally have no consistent 3 point shooters... I still expect them to beat OU pretty bad, since Simpson will be giving up size to Egbo, she’ll probably have a career game vs us... I think Texas will beat them at least once, and after seeing Iowa st give TCU a beat down, the cyclones will probably beat the bears as well.

I thought Baylor looked a bit careless but they will be tough. They have had some good outside shooters but Kim doesn't rely on the treys as much as say an Iowa State or Kansas State team. She has always had a very effictive 15 feet and in game. I think Texas is the only team in the conference who can beat them. I think Gusters will be good.

Baylor was missing wild open 3 pointers vs USF... it’s earlier but they are currently 4 for 22 from deep as a team... if you look at the players they have I don’t see any real legit 3 point shooters... once teams go zone and pack the paint it’s going to be difficult for them, Egbo is a good player but she’s no Griner... if Smith can get going it’ll save there season, but right now if they run into a team with size and athleticism they might not come away with a win... yes they can defend, but if they run into a team that’s off to a hot shooting start it could be hard from them to come back.

I watched NC State beat South Carolina and both teams could have beat Baylor easily, from what I saw of Baylor the other night. I thought Sarah Andrews would come in and be another Odyssey Sims, and when they signed grad transfer D. Carrington I thought they'd surely be #1 or close to it, but neither player got a huge amount of playing time against South Florida, and when they did they didn't stand out, at all. The only thing I see in Baylor are about 4 tall athletic girls and not much else. Maybe that will change by the end of the season. They will beat us by at least 30, regardless.

Baylor lost to Arkansas in Fayetteville today. Dungee had 22 points.

Didn’t want to start another thread for this, but Dungee popped in 37 tonight as Arkansas upset UConn by 3.
