Here's some statistical background, pulled from Bart Torvik's site:

Buddy Hield is a no-brainer at SG.
Beyond that, do you go for peak or overall contribution? Jordan Woodard or Trae Young at PG?
Romero Osby had the best season besides Hield and Trae. I probably take him over Manek for the "scoring forward" position.
I'll include Spangler for his rebounding/dirty work and efficient scoring.
Lattin is the only rim protector on the list. I dunno, though...
I guess I'll take Pledger for the 5th position. Could go a number of ways.
Final decision--Trae or Woodard? I think I'll say Trae.
1. Trae
2. Hield
3. Pledger??
4. Osby
5. Spangler
After looking at this team... I think I'll take out Pledger and put in Lattin. Fits better on the team as a whole, adds some rim protection. Don't need any more scoring.
1. Trae
2. Hield
3. Osby
4. Spangler
5. Lattin
A team like that, with each at their peaks, would be a national title team for sure.
Summing up the OBPM and DBPM:
Offense = +31.6 (but usage of 121.7, so having to share ball)… this would be a GOAT offensive team.
Defense = +10.3 Definitely not an elite defensive team, but ok
If we shifted to Woodard over Trae it would balance out the O vs. D a bit better.
