Yes. We can definitely win. Will have to fight against the refs too, so need to be darn near perfect.I agree. IMO, we must win this game to make up for some Quad 1 losses earlier that we could have won. It's going to be extremely tough because they don't give away very many free points, and it's at their home court. This would have to be one of our best games in terms of valuing the ball and defensive fortitude in order for us to pull it out. We CANNOT start this game cold and get down big and find ourselves having to claw back out of a hole, as we did in Austin. Vandy is top 5 for a reason, these teams are just more consistent in the two areas we seem to struggle in year after year - TOs and defense. I hope we take it to them and pull out a W tonight!!
Bingo… Coach can’t play a slow game it’s warp speed (which tonight Vandy loved) or nothing.A really ugly game…just got whipped. Couldn’t make a shot from 3, couldn’t stay in front of Blakes and Galvan on defense, too many over aggressive passes that missed and became turnovers, teams have figured out to exaggerate the contact from Beers and they will get an offensive foul called and Jennie is too stubborn on playing at break neck speed. We are deep into the season so things aren’t likely to change.
Beers was fouling big time. I was disappointed in the flagrant. I think some of that might be frustration for not getting the ball. She was holding position for seconds at a time and the ladies were just not feeding her. I would be frustrated too. Lots to clean up and mainly they just don’t look connected. I have their back though and will continue to do so.A really ugly game…just got whipped. My guess is OU spent most if not all their $$$ on Chavezi just wonder what this coach was thinking this season would end up like. Did she think losing what we lost and only bringing in 3 freshmen would be good enough? I wish one of these journalists would be bold enough to ask her about the lack in transfers and what she was thinking. Look at Kentucky's Boone - she's a transfer that wasn't high on anyone's radar and still provides! There are plenty more examples of these type of players across the country, but JB just failed in this aspect and it's cost us, very sadly. Another 9-10 loss season in the works, in what I thought would be a 5 loss season, at most (maybe I was overly optimistic in hindsight).
