I think this game is key to the rest of our season. Time to prove we are in the top tier of the SEC. Lose this one and we stay middle of the pack and probably stay locked in at a 4 seed or at worst a 5.

I agree. IMO, we must win this game to make up for some Quad 1 losses earlier that we could have won. It's going to be extremely tough because they don't give away very many free points, and it's at their home court. This would have to be one of our best games in terms of valuing the ball and defensive fortitude in order for us to pull it out. We CANNOT start this game cold and get down big and find ourselves having to claw back out of a hole, as we did in Austin. Vandy is top 5 for a reason, these teams are just more consistent in the two areas we seem to struggle in year after year - TOs and defense. I hope we take it to them and pull out a W tonight!!

Yes. We can definitely win. Will have to fight against the refs too, so need to be darn near perfect.

1/7..from 3… and just some horrible TO’s…6

This team has not gotten better from the first game of the season to right now. They just don't have it in them this year. And we're losing key pieces so next year is going to be even worse. I don't think this coach knows how to prepare us four teams that are mediocre to good. We can't hang with them.

Vandy is stepping up on def…we just seem really pushed ..

Chavez is good but she takes some pretty rushed 3’s…
This is a game where I’d slow it down … vandy is very comfortable with the tempo and it’s playing into their hands

And the problem is some of these turnover machines can't get benched because we literally have no talent on the bench. I'm pretty sure everyone on the team has tried to shoot a three at this point. My question is, does everyone have the green light? LOL what kind of coaching is that? We've got freshmen that are raw but aren't any better and cannot contribute offensively so this team is done. We lose games in the first 5 minutes. If we can make this a respectable 15-point loss that's about as good as it can get. I'm so disappointed by how this season has turned out

Have to feed Beers and they need to slow it down. She’s only shot 5 times!

Slowing it down and letting the team get down the court will help tons. They’ll come out better, and I don’t see Vanderbilt shooting that good this half, with the exception of Blakes/Galvan. Whew they’re talented!

Disappointing showing. Not the year we envisioned. Hopefully these tough games teach us some lessons and we can have a decent showing in the tournament. Think everyone can agree we need to make waves in the transfer portal or we won’t be in the top 25 next season. Chavez needs to figure out her game. 10 missed 3s isn’t acceptable.

A really ugly game…just got whipped. Couldn’t make a shot from 3, couldn’t stay in front of Blakes and Galvan on defense, too many over aggressive passes that missed and became turnovers, teams have figured out to exaggerate the contact from Beers and they will get an offensive foul called and Jennie is too stubborn on playing at break neck speed. We are deep into the season so things aren’t likely to change.

Bingo… Coach can’t play a slow game it’s warp speed (which tonight Vandy loved) or nothing.

Chavez was 0-11 from 3.

I’ve said it before, this reminds me sooo much of Kruger and TY…

I thought this year would be better than last year but it's actually been much worse. Last year we won these type of games. I think this is a personnel management failure through and through. And this year is showing JB's deficiencies as a coach.. got to feel for beers and verhulst, they deserve better than this.

Beers was fouling big time. I was disappointed in the flagrant. I think some of that might be frustration for not getting the ball. She was holding position for seconds at a time and the ladies were just not feeding her. I would be frustrated too. Lots to clean up and mainly they just don’t look connected. I have their back though and will continue to do so.

i just wonder what this coach was thinking this season would end up like. Did she think losing what we lost and only bringing in 3 freshmen would be good enough? I wish one of these journalists would be bold enough to ask her about the lack in transfers and what she was thinking. Look at Kentucky's Boone - she's a transfer that wasn't high on anyone's radar and still provides! There are plenty more examples of these type of players across the country, but JB just failed in this aspect and it's cost us, very sadly. Another 9-10 loss season in the works, in what I thought would be a 5 loss season, at most (maybe I was overly optimistic in hindsight).

My guess is OU spent most if not all their $$$ on Chavez
