OU athletics audit finds no issues

The documents also show the school self-reported 50 secondary rules violations in the last academic year, with most relating to recruiting phone calls and text messages and athletes receiving extra benefits.

It doesn't exonerate OU, but every program finds a ton of secondary rules violations every year (at least for the schools that actually look) and they just self report.

Didn't the NCAA change the phone call rule? I thought that what they hammered Kelvin for is now essentially not a violation at all. They used to count a phone call as whenever you called a house, I believe. Now, you have to actually talk to the recruit for it to count (but I could be mis-informed).

You are correct.

I'm pretty sure it's a secondary violation when us Capelables chant a recruit's name during a game so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Bring Kelvin back!

Kelvin earned the nickname Kelvin Samsung for his errors. I could easily see Orande Telefono catching on.

Kelvin's actually in trouble more for the approach he took afterwards than the actions that led to the investigation IMO.
