OU Basketball: What it means to be back in the danc

At the risk of coming off as the crank who complains about young writers (if the shoe fits, I guess), this piece, though competently written, is a bit too much about the writer. By that I mean, it picks up at the point when he became a Sooner fan, as if nothing of import had happened before then. That'd be fine if the Sooners had been lost in the wilderness before 2002, but of course that's not the case at all.

A brief acknowledgement that Hollis joined a program that had been doing very well, indeed, since the early 1980s -- a best-in-the-nation string of 25 consecutive years of postseason play (the vast majority of them in the NCAA tourney) -- would have gone a long way toward giving the reader more context for understanding how frustrating our dry spell was.
