Ou-bu

If she would set griffin on the bench and play a quicker lineup might have a chance. With griffin in forget about it

If she has to sit Griner due to foul trouble in the NCAA tournament against a team with more weapons than we have, she could be in trouble.

A chance for what? To keep it under 20? And how exactly will we score our points? It'll have to be from the outside because the lane is out of the question.

There's plenty of failed areas whenever we play Baylor. You can count on sims stealing the ball and us turning it over. You can count on us getting beat on the offensive boards. You can count on us having to be almost perfect because Baylor won't go many trips without scoring. Nicole Griffin is the least of our worries when we play Baylor.

Our chances of beating Baylor are slim and none and 'ol slim just left town.

There was one play tonight that just epitomized my disgust with officials and their tendency to call what they think happened rather than reality. If you have the game taped, look at one play by Hook.

Hook dribbles along the baseline, coming under the basket and putting the ball up from the right side of the basket. Griner comes over and "blocks" the ball. No foul.

Griner moved into Hook, catching her first with the body. Then, she was so close to Hook that she caught Hook with the tricep on the wrist as Morgan put the ball up. This deflected Morgan's wrist just enough that, still in the same motion, Griner hit her a third time with the wrist on the back of Morgan's hand and wrist. This is what has been happening for four years. Griner hits with everything, but is given credit for a clean block.

She definitely fouled Morgan. I thought she got away with a couple on Nicole
layups as well.

Griner has been fouling Nicole for three years now. It is time that the officials recognized that only the Wicked Witch of Wacko thinks she doesn't foul, primarily because she thinks it has something to do with sacrificiing chickens.

Well as frustrating as it was to be on the losing end, it was interesting to watch what is easily the best team in the country. They are quick, strong, smooth and talented. I can be honest enough to appreciate that. At the same time, the last part of the first half showed they'll be back in the pack next year.

They seem to be in a mode where they think they can turn it on whenever they want to. That is not a smart way to play.

Baylor is an excellent team, and perhaps the best team I've seen overall. I actually think the officials called Baylor closely tonight, or at least more closely than usual. Officiating wasn't the problem; missing open shots and relatively open layups was. Then again, I hope none of you really expected to beat Baylor. If so, that's laughable. Look at some of the teams that have beaten us!
