Fair enough, redshirting Arent is the second worst possible decision of all time.

If we find a "talented" big man, we need him to play next year. Redshirts just don't happen very often these days.

He wants to redshirt and develope. It is one of the reasons he is considering us. We have 3 big guys to play next year in Osby, MBaye and and Fitz. Joel Anthony redshirted out of JUCO at UNLV and it worked out well for him. Arent isn't redshirting next year. He will try to play the same role as CJ Washington did this year.

Stop making stuff up. You have no idea why Korchek is considering us. Yes, in one interview, he said he'd like to redshirt. Just like Arent said that last year. We can't go into next year with M'Baye penciled in as a full time post player, and Arent as our 4th big. Can't do it. If Korchek comes to OU, he will play next year. If he is dead set on redshirting, I'm guessing OU doesn't offer him. LK isn't looking for some mediocre post to come in and redshirt. That doesn't even make sense.

Not to mention he made that comment nearly 2 months ago, and he never said it would be the deciding factor. Actually, it sounded like he could be talked out of the redshirt the way it reads to me.
