*******OU-Iowa State Pregame Notes/Game Thread*******

Whew we can't make anything easy. Sooners win by 5 though. Huge win. Now we have 2 big road games coming up. Need to split those 2 and we are set.

Great win. Really helps us both in conference and resume.

Great win and protecting the home court!....even though some can't comprehend that.

If you asked me before the conference started if I though we'd go 2-1 in the @Texas, Kansas, ISU stretch I would have said "no way." This team keeps finding new ways to impress me. It'd be huge is we could win either @Baylor or @KSU. Pretty quickly we'd be playing for seeding instead of just to get into to the tourney.

Yep after the next 2 our schedule gets easier till about mid February when we have a stretch of games where we play @ OSU, KSU, @ KU, Texas. But the Big 12 has no teams you can really over look. Both of these next two games will be tough ones.

If this team could find a way to split these next two games, that really puts us in a good position for the remaining schedule. At that point, I think we probably finish above .500 in conference, but regardless of that, .500 would get us easily in the tournament this season....with the relative strength of the Big 12. I think the win we are going to look back on that was huge is the Texas game. If we can take care of Texas at home as well, that is another bubble team beneath us in the pecking order.

I thought Spangler coming up big in 2nd half with critical rebounds kept the Cyclones from making a big run.

Great game! I sure am impressed with Cousins progress from last year. This year I trust him with the ball.:clap

Great win. Knocked off an undefeated and top 10 team. And some were embarrassed by this team. No one should have been embarrassed by a team that played this hard.

We gave up a lot inside but defended the three point line well. Probably the best way to beat them. You never want them to get going with the treys. We really forced them into some bad three point shots late in the game. Good job of closing out with a tough defense.

Spangler a beast. Surprised that we had much left at the end with all the minutes the starters had put in. Need more help from the bench in tough games.

Very solid win. Saw a lot of good stuff today. Still gotta cut down on the terrible defensive plays, and allowing teams back into games after we build the lead up, but overall, we played pretty well today.

Need that kind of intensity from Spangler on the boards every game. Even Bennett was serviceable in a back up roll today. Thought Cousins played one of his best games in a Sooner uniform today.

Cam needs to slow down and let the game come to him. He was forcing big time today. Looked more like the Cam of the last two years, and I think it affected his D today, as I thought it wasn't very good.
