That's the headline to the story on Hale's site for his story on D.J. Bennett. Can't read the article but I'm guessing he is saying OU is the leader.

So he's telling the Arkansas sites they lead and the OU site's they lead. :ez-laugh:

Yeah, I read the article. Interesting that he's telling both schools pretty much the same story.

Guess we'll know how OU stands soon enough, the article said he'll be on campus this weekend. With Spangler in town as well, Kruger may wrap up the 2012 recruiting class in a single weekend.

Doesn't he still have a visit to Missouri planned? After that Missouri will probably be the "leader" as well.

No, he said Mizzou sux now that they're no longer in the Big 12. ;)

Seriously, he said it was down to OU and Arkansas, and that OU leads. Take that for what it's worth. He's supposed to be visiting this weekend, so the Sooners must be a legitimate player for his services.

Can I get a quick reminder on who this player is? Sorry if it is easily found on another thread.

Here's the thread OUHoops started last month. The OP's post will tell you pretty much what you want to know. Looks like Bennett started to find his game in the late season, and continued to improve on it with a good showing in the JUCO tourney.

I don't know much about him, except he's listed at 6' 9" 215. OU has offered, so LK and his staff must like him.

In the OUInsider article he stated that he had a 7-5 wingspan and his dunking highlights show someone who plays above the rim.

Sounds like he could help next year, and in 2014 Bennett, Spangler, M'Baye is a nice starting point for a front court.

Last I heard, he did have a Mizzou visit planned. I don't know if that's changed, though.

Either way, he's clearly not our top option in the post (that would be Alex Oriakhi, who is coming for a visit this weekend). If we land Oriakhi, Bennett doesn't have a spot here (and I do think we get Oriakhi).

We will still have one more scholarship to give, but I don't see us using the other one on a juco post (Devonta Pollard is the first option).

My interpretation of your passive aggressive statements: Bennett is good enough for OU but not good enough for Missouri.

Another way to interpret my post: Bennett is better than the post players OU has committed (no one), but isn't better than the guy who put up a double double with four blocks in the 2011 national title game.

There's nothing passive aggressive about stating facts. Bennett is someone MU's coaches have looked at. He's not going to get a scholarship ahead of Alex Oriakhi. If that's somehow taken as a slight, you've got some self esteem issues. There isn't a single OU fan anywhere who would rather take Bennett than Oriakhi.

I've said nothing but good things about Bennett on here. I think he's a legit player, and I'd gladly take him at MU if it came to that.
