OU offered Missouri SG Drew Lock

Demarco Murray was a pretty good basketball player. D1, contribute at OU good? I don't know. I think Tennell was a pretty good HS bball player too.

Bradford is also really good at golf, iirc.

Beat me to it by naming Murray and Tennell as two football players who had offers to play basketball at the high D-l level. If I remember correctly, Murray was a top 50 recruit in basketball. Tennell averaged something like 28ppg his senior year in high school.

I'm too lazy to search for proof. But there is no doubt in my mind that both could have contributed if they had played basketball at OU.

I get why it is really hard for a football player to participate in both sports. What I don't get is why Stoops pretends he's okay with it, when we all know that is not going to happen.

It rarely happens at any school. Last one at Mizzou was more than a decade ago (Justin Gage), and before that I honestly don't know of the last one. Most coaches have the same approach as Stoops.

I'd be surprised if he actually ends up playing both. But keeping the window open seems to appeal to him now.
