Marist is rallying! Shut the Sooners out in the bottom of the 4th... the tension is killing me.

When is the earliest inning that run-rule can be imposed?

Never mind, we run-ruled them after 5 innings, 17-0.

There is a huge difference between the top twenty or thirty and the rest of the nation. Unfortunately, Marist isn't quite ready to play a top ten team. They probably would finish last in the Big Twelve. As the announcers said, there is a difference between teams that are used to facing pitchers who throw in the fifties as opposed to the sixties. Gascoigne only throws about sixty-two, and she would probably be the fastest that anyone from Marist has seen. Then, there is Keilani in the high sixties or low seventies.

KR gets out w/ no further damage; bases are now loaded in the bottom of the inning w/ Pendley coming up. UA making a pitching change.

EDIT: SP hits into a force out @ home; 2 down.

Keilani draws a 4 pitch walk to force in a run; 4-1 good guys. Shults K's to end the inning.

No problem.

KR tosses a scoreless 5th, Williams w/ a leadoff double in the bottom.

Martinez follows w/ a walk.

Parsons does the same; bases loaded, nobody out.

Turang w/ a forceout @ home; 1 down, Lauren coming up.

LC w/ a shot to short that the SS can't come up with, 2 runs score; 6-1

Casey hits back to the pitcher, 2 down, runners on 2nd & 3rd.

Pendley K's to end the inning.

Don't know what happened after last update (computer decided to take a vacation) but it's now 6-5, UA has runners @ 2nd & 3rd. Michelle's now pitching.

MG gets the K to end the inning.

OU w/ 3 straight hits (last by Parsons to plate Williams) after 1st 2 batters made outs to get a BIG insurance run. 7-5 OU.

Turang draws a walk to load the bases, Chamberlain coming up.

LC w/ a 3 run double off the centerfield wall, 10-5.

Give the devil their due, UA's left fielder makes a fabulous catch to end the inning.

Next hitter walks. Can we stand prosperity?

4-3 double play, 2 down, runner on 3rd.

Line out to 3rd to end the game, 10-5 final.

Well, we answered with 4 runs of our own in the bottom of the inning, thanks to Chamberlain's bases-clearing double.

I was getting plenty nervous after we blew a 6-1 lead. Thankfully, our bats woke up in time to put some insurance up that Michelle can breathe easy.

I personally think that Gasso left a struggling Keilani in way too long, especially with a pitcher like Gascoigne sitting in the bullpen... had we lost, I'd have been blaming Patty...

Keilani wasn't real sharp today, even before she blew up. Curiously, both teams started rallies with two out in the sixth.

This game would have been over after five if Shelby and Shults were hitting anything right now. Both have started the NCAAs very slowly. We left a lot of runners on base.

1 Oklahoma
25 Arkansas
86 Fordham
200 Marist

I think #25 is a rather bad draw for a #1 seed.

Louisiana-Lafayette best LSU. Texas run-ruled South Carolina. UAB beat Louisville. Some seeds are going down. Baylor is killing A&M, 5-0

For those who didn't watch, Arkansas should have been out in the top of the sixth without scoring a run.
Jessica Vest caught a popup and threw to first to get the runner. The umpire called the runner safe, but the replay clearly showed that the ball beat the runner. The next Hog batter hit a home run and Arkansas went on to score two more runs before Gascoine got the inning over with.
The women who were announcing for ESPN didn't have a clue. In the bottom of the sixth, Williams didn't bat. Javen Henson hit for her and Henson started the two-out rally and scored the seventh OU run, not Williams. The announcers never picked up on that even though Williams bats left-handed and Henson bats righty.
