**********OU-Stepen F. Austin Game Thread**********

Very disappointing and discouraging loss. If Kruger is going to get us back, it's going to take longer than I had ever thought. Our talent level is sooooo low. The offensive chemistry problems are really puzzling at this point of the season. I really had high hopes for our basketball programs, men's and women's. Aaarrrgghhh!

Did anyone hear the idiot screaming "c'mon Buddy" during the last FT? I had to rewind it to make sure I heard right. Yep, during the pull up to shoot, not after it was up. Nice!:clap

That is a bit part of it. We are lost on offense, and that blame goes to LK.

I think Kruger is stuck with some below average players from the Capel era. Hornbeak, Hield and Cousins will get better but other than Pledger and Osby nobody else shows up night in and night out. Fitz, Clark, Neal, M'Baye have to bring some consistency each game or yes it will continue to be a big problem.

OU did not play particularly bad in some areas. But they were awful in transition and bad on offense in general for the most part. There's no way OU played their best tonight. SFA was apart of that they were real tough on defense. But missing the wide open transition shots was tough for OU and the big difference really. OU's a really young team with Hornbeak, Hield, and Cousins so this team has a higher ceiling than some think tonight. But fact is these 3 are 2 guards. And we need a PG and we need some better post presence than we had tonight. M'Baye has been a huge disappointment. He basically has no game in the half court. He's got no real post game and he's not that good at handling the ball so he can't really drive the ball. He's similar to Cam Clark but not even as skilled as he is.

This has been a problem, and the difference all season, not just tonight.

Wasn't osby chapels recruit?? Osby is our best player.

thats what i said, Pledger and Osby are the only guys left from the Capel era that show up each game, while 3 other Capel guys and 1 Kruger guy (M'Baye) have been dissapointing most season.

Kruger needs to recruit better.

Agree. M'Baye is pretty careless with the basketball. He needs to watch tape of Wayman Tisdale of how to secure the basketball after rebound.

What a piss poor effort getting back on the break after the Clark turnover. Good grief. SFA had five guys down there after the first miss, OU had 2. The other three weren't even passed halfcourt.

Also would've been nice to have Osby in there after the timeout to dump it in to. But Kruger left him on the bench.

This was the point that I was really mad about Kruger's coaching. Osby had to be put back in the game (and he sat out way too long after he picked up his 3rd foul). Add the poor effort by our players to get back and that may have ended the game right there.

During Capel's 2nd year we lost a home game to SFA. We rebounded with wins against Arkansas/Gonzaga/West Virginia all in a week then went on to win 23 games in a game in the NCAA tourney.

Maybe this team will rebound as well. Although I dont know if this SFA team is as good as the one we lost to in 08. That SFA team went on to win 26 games.

Do we have Blake Griffen hiding on the bench somewhere I don't see?
