ESPN headline today says OU "stuns" OSU.

How does a top 20 team, 17-4 (6-2) "stun" an OSU team that has a worse record, playing on the road in a building they hardly ever win in, in a series they are getting beat badly in, in a game with a severe coaching mismatch?

OU is clearly a more well put together and coached team. OU has good guards, and a great big guy in Spangler. OSU has good guards, but are pathetic in the paint. They aren't a complete team. It shouldnt be a surprise that any good team beats them. Will they beat good teams? Sure, they have some great guards and when they make shots are very good, but it shouldn't stun anyone that a well-coached top 20 team that is complete top to bottom beat them.

Last year OU never appeared in the ESPN "Big Monday" games. Zero.

This year, OU was selected to appear in 2 "Big Monday" games .. at home vs. OSU ... and on the road at KU.

Next year, OU will be a regular on "Big Monday." Even ESPN knows a good thing when they see it. OU is a fun team to watch, and they are GOOD.

I read that last night to, Traveler.

The sport's media and their pet players and teams is a joke. If they did their homework they would have known that OSU has only won in Norman twice in the last 14 years with the last one being 10 years ago.

There was no reason to think that OU was an underdog.

When the local media pushes the narrative that OSU is the better basketball school, the national guys are going to hear it and assume it is true.

We need to blame ourselves. We allow this BS to happen. Even OU fans say crap about OSU being a better basketball school. Or the OSU being the biggest game of the season. It isn't the biggest game when other programs have higher winning percentages. That is simply false perception created by the local media.

What Trav said ... OU is a FUN team to watch and they are good. Soon enough ESPN will be back kissing Sooner behinds too.

This whole thread stinks of aggie inferiority complex. Vegas had us as dogs in that game too. There's no conspiracy to put OU basketball down.

The media is so misinformed. OU wins 76% of the time in Norman. OSU has won 6 games in Norman since 1966. Anyone that was stunned by this result knows nothing about Big XII basketball.

Applause to DenverSooner! I've also nuked any talk of "let the Aggies have basketball" out here, because it's simply not true. That's also why I posted all over Facebook about the series edge moving to 130-95 in OU's favor.

:clap:clap:clap

And when ESPiN was showing Bedlam history with football series record and basketball series being 129-95 and Mushbooger said "that's close"! REALLY???

LOL, "Oklahoma Stuns Oklahoma State"??? What was stunning/shocking? OSU has now lost 10 straight to OU in Norman and in the past 50 years OSU has won in Norman 8 times. Nothing shocking about it (I don't care if OSU was ranked higher going into the game). Finally, in the past 50 years OU has won in Stillwater 19 times and holds a 67-44 edge in games played in that time frame. When OU beats OSU in football or basketball, no one should ever be shocked.
