**********OU-TCU Game Thread**********

Hey look, we are blowing a massive lead right before halftime...
Haven't seen this before.

That "steal" and layup by TCU a couple of plays back was an obvious foul.

Nobody on this team other than Ryan Spangler has put a body on somebody on a rebound.

And I mean NOBODY.
It's the laziest we could possibly be playing.

40-36 OU at half.

Some good spots but I thought we forced way too much on offense.

They better win this by 20 in the 2nd half...seriously

Or what?

I've learned it's best not to get your hopes up too high for a blow out with any OU team, especially one that has not proven to be able to dominate a game. We don't have the kind of players who can do that.

Expect a win and forget the point differential, and you'll be a lot happier when the game is over. ;)

50% from 3; 100% from FT

Just need to stop forcing it as we did on several offense possessions and that will stop some of the easy buckets on the other end.

Just want a way to get guys like Bennett more and more minutes...which would probably be most likely in a double digit lead

This team has a tendency to play to the level of their competition. They have doing it all year.

I know. I'm not the least bit surprised this game is close at the half. I think OU will come out of the locker room more determined to lock down on TCU on defense. If they do, the game could turn around in a hurry. If not, it could be a dog fight to the end.

Like I have said for sometime, there is no such thing as an easy game in the Big 12 this season. That statement, in part, is due to OU's inability to put teams down big and keep them there.

It's just another symptom of the overall laziness. Not trying to work for good shots and just settling. Plus the obvious offensive rebounds we are allowing.

3 point game and the crowd is acting like Tiger is about to putt for the Masters on 18...dead quiet

You let a team hang around with you long enough and they'll start to believe they can beat you. We really need to start getting some distance between us. Hitting our FTs would be a good start.

Our craptastic defense that was improving the last several games.....has reared its ugly head. Why do we try and force it so much!? Most of the time, it leads to either a turnover, a dumb shot, or a bad possession.

Settle down guys....TCU freaking sucks. Play a smart game and we will run away with it.

Letting an awful team hang close or beat you at home is not the way to generate a great home crowd atmosphere.

Our D is definitely a big part of the problem, but we have also left points at the line and missed some shots. We really aren't playing well on either side of the floor. Frankly, the only way we lose to TCU is if we play poorly on both side of the floor all game.

Well, we got out answer. OU is still playing to the level of their competition.
