Lower level is soldout. Still plenty of uppers available (with some $10 seats still available). Looks like a couple of lowers still up for grabs on Craig's List.

Tickets: Soonersports.com | Stubhub | Craig's List OKC

Do you part to get these tickets sold! :OUbball-logo:

Hey Big do you know what the starting lineup will be for tomorrow night? I hope Tony will be able to go tomorrow along with Willie even though I don't think that ankle will let him do much.

looking forward to the 1,000 empties in a "sold out" lower bowl!

There were about 50 or so empty seats in sections LW3 and LW4 (cushioned seat donor sections) for the Texas game.

The only way to get those people to use their seats would be if it was promoted that Bob Stoops would be throwing mini footballs stuffed with money or bottles of Viagra to the crowd during every timeout.

That sounds like the greatest promotion of all time. Big Time, make this happen!!!!

Dan,

If I had to guess:

TMG
Willis
Cade
Crock
Ryan Wright

This could be a great opportunity for Big O to get some playing time. I don't think Jeff will be able to go the entire game without substituting at least one guy.

Donors are fundamental to any athletic program, but MAN some of them are terrible fans.

I don't understand why if these people love the University enough to make donations they don't care enough to make sure their seats get used. It is just so easy. Look at the schedule and pick some games you know you are not going to attend. Then give your kids teacher a set of tickets as a thank you for doing their job. Give your secretary or assistant a set of tickets. Give the janitor in your building a set of tickets (do you think that person ever gets a thank you). Give someone that works for you a set of tickets. There are so many positive ways to use those tickets but instead people leave them in a desk drawer.

I get that people don't want to drive to the stadium and sell them cheap but I am positive people have someone in their life that could really use a free night o entertainment. Give them to your church. There is a probably a family at church that is having a hard time and could use a family night out with no cost other than gas money and sharing a couple of sodas.

It is just so selfish. They don't want to make a decision in advance and then don't care enough to exert any effort at the last minute. I think OU should change the donor program. Make it $100 per seat but renewal cost goes up $X per seat for each game your ticket is not scanned. The school has the statistical data to alter the program and collect more revenue. They (being the AD) just don't care either.

The athletic department cares, they're just not going to **** off donors, which is a pretty fundamental policy. I agree 100% with your statement, that it is not hard to give away tickets. At some point it falls on the responsibility of the season ticket holder to make sure the seats are filled, the athletic department has offered a means to resale your ticket.

Can't tell you how many times I was working and a donor would come up to the window, who had 4+ season tickets, but was coming to the game alone or with just one other person. He/she would give the tickets to me and tell me to just give it to the next person who walks in the door for free. While a very good gesture (and a lucky night for a few fans) why not just give those tickets away earlier in the day? The next people walking through the door had already planned on going to the game regardless.

Exactly. It makes you wonder how they make enough money to be a donor.

To the donors credit, they have done a better job this year than in in years past of showing up (or giving their tickets away).

I am pleasently surprised since the team has stuggled.

Oh yeah, and don't forget if you purchase tickets online from Soonersports to select the "print at home" option in order to save on some fees.

Still some really good deals on Craig's List if you know any last minute ticket seekers....

Anyway to get a list of the donor seats and their names? Maybe post them in a public place. Have the OU paper do a list of all the donors and the percentage of BBall games they show up to?

I'm guessing no.
