Don't look now, but haven't we kept all our opponents under 40% field goals so far this year?

Our transition D has been good too. Id rather us play good D now and depend on the O coming around that vice versa.

It started out very poorly but I agree that we did a much better job in the second half.

I saw in the Box Score that UCLA had zero points off our 10 turnovers. I know thats not all on us, but we are a lot better D than last year. By conference season our O should be very good.

Yes, and how many games last season did we have just 10 turnovers? We really are a much improved -- and improving -- team.

Ya we have taken pretty good care of the ball this year. The ceiling is high, and we are not close yet.

UCLA was atrocious from the FT line. Dang if they have even an average day I don't think we win.

We had a less than average day also...don't discount that. Our shooting was atrocious. We could have won by even more.

Please don't counter with logic and reason when I am nitpicking :)

UCLA has some good bigs. Looney is very long and good and there were times they wore us out on the offensive glass. But we came back and rebounded well when it counted. I'm sorry but Bryce Alford can ball. For a while we could not guard him...

That's as ugly a box as you'll see for a win.......but , I'll take it.

Take a look at Ryan Spangler's numbers. 10 boards, 9 points, 5-5 at the line, 2 blocks, 2 assists and 2 steals in 35 minutes. That is a great game that a casual fan may never notice.

I'd like to see them get Thomas and Spangler a little bit more involved, particularly Thomas......we rely on the perimeter shot a little too much sometimes.....but I really like this team. I watched the first half start to finish....couldn't watch the second because I had to work but I liked what I saw.

They should keep track of all the points made from the picks he set, too. He worked very hard on both ends, and was arguably the most successful dribble penetrator off his pump fakes.

That is a remarkable performance against arguably the best set of bigs he faces all year.

I noticed that, too. I don't think Lattin is ready to be physical enough with the likes of the UCLA front line.

Agreed I saw twice where he was blocking out and they moved him to under the goal, they were moving him with ease. Still would rather see him in there than Cole though.

Yea but their guards only got 2 free throws so I wouldn't expect them to shoot better in that scenario. 13 free throws were shot by Looney and Parker alone.
