Kai Rogers (6-10, Wauwatosa, Wis., Forward)
“Kai was one of the best young big men on the circuit. He has tremendous physicality and has the ability to pass. With his 7-foot-4-inch wingspan, he creates defensive problems and is a rim protector. Kai is an extremely strong big man.”

Andreas Holst (7-0, Aarhus, Denmark, Forward)
“Andreas has phenomenal length and athleticism. He can play multiple positions as a 7-footer and is extremely mobile and athletic. Andreas is a very skilled shooter and can get his versatility into the game with his size.”

Alec Blair (6-7, Lafayette, Calif., Guard)
“Alec is an athletic wing with length who can play multiple positions. Being a two-sport athlete, it showcases his versatile skillset. Alec is extremely dynamic in the open floor with his passing and has the ability to score by getting his athleticism into the game at 6-foot-7.”

I am obsessed with getting good big men, and so I am really excited about getting Kai and Andreas. I really believe that it is much more difficult to win without good post players.

Also very difficult and very expensive to get a good proven big out of the portal…a lot more really good but still affordable guards are available from the portal.

Very excited about Kai. Then blair. I refuse to put any stock in foreigners until one of ours actually hits for once (that said, Denmark guy reportedly had some nice offers.. so believe...?)

He’s getting bench minutes on the senior team. The league isn’t one of the top European leagues, but it has at least one guy you’ve heard of - Avery Anderson III.

Blair is likely never going to play in Norman. He is a top pro prospect in baseball, and will likely get a large signing bonus to go pro.

I thought the same for awhile but skip and staff think he’s coming.

Of course, if he’s an early rounder then chances are lower. But he wants to hoop and play baseball

If he's a top 3 round pick, he is likely gone, IMO.
From my quick research, it looks like slot value signing bonus for a late third rounder is about $700,000. Of course, in baseball there's all kinds of negotiating going on behind the scenes and the actual bonus can be above or below slot value. I wonder what his basketball/baseball NIL would look like here.

lets say he gets 700k .. plus 3 years of minor league pay .. (20k rookie 26,200 low A 27,300 high A)

that is 770 over 3 years ... he would make far more then that playing 3 years at OU

I thought we don’t have any NIL money?

He'll be part of revenue sharing (in two sports). Plus NIL (of which there is more than none).
The discussions about NIL on here seem so all over the place. On the one hand, we supposedly lose out on players because of NIL, including guys who are not exactly at the top of the portal rankings. But on the other hand, we can pay enough to a guy who might be looking at making high six figures on his first minor league deal? My point is, it’s all conjecture. Unless and until the numbers have to be disclosed, no one knows.

Seems as though many baseball players--even some who get drafted reasonably high--opt to spend at least some time in college rather than sign out of high school. I've never totally understood why, but I presume it's because they don't like the team that drafted them or they think they can improve their skills sufficiently in college to significantly improve their draft status the second time around.

Low a ball. Riding buses for the next 4 years. In most cases.

Ou baseball takes a plane at least. Get major league coaching here as well.

Playing at Tennessee’s field is better than Wichita Kansas low a field.

Wichita has one of the nicer Double A stadiums around. Try again.
