OU-UNT not televised outside of Oklahoma

I can't help that the game is not on cable outside of Oklahoma.
The people who get the game either live in Oklahoma or have a service (like satellite) that gets FS Oklahoma. It's clearly marked on the SoonerSports site that the game is only available on FSOK. I just wanna watch my team.

Like I said, trust me, I have no interest in having Time Warner, but I don't have any other options. I don't like that I get the damn Longhorn Network but get screwed on OU coverage. I'll get the Idaho game on Wednesday, but not North Texas (which is extra odd considering I live in North Texas).

Get Directv or Dish.
And statgeek is correct when this is the second week in a row that you have complained and have been wrong both times.

I mean, I'm not wrong. I don't get the game on cable in Dallas. I've got every sports package and premium channel Time Warner offers. Unfortunately, it's still Time Warner. And there's something about the way my building faces that doesn't allow me to get satellite. Not sure exactly, but I've tried. But I guess the reason I'm the only one complaining is because I'm the only person on here who lives in Texas and has cable it appears.

Anyway, back to the main point: is there anywhere online that you can stream the game?

not getting the game also. They are televising Texas Tech in HD and regular tv.

It was on several different Fox Sport channels. It sucks that Time Warner either doesn't offer any of those or you don't have them. But you especially need Fox Sports Oklahoma. You need that as an OU fan.

The real question is why it wasn't being streamed.

Like I said, that's the thing that bugs me. It seems like the whole SoonerSports.tv website should exist to stream games like this. I understand not getting live streaming of football games because of how much TV money is involved there, but it seems like neither men's or women's basketball are streamed, and that just makes no sense to me.

The game is being shown live on several different channels on DirectTV and Uverse. The game is also on FCSC tonight (delayed) at 10 PM. Yet, you continue to whine about it not being available because you have a terrible cable package and you live out of state. All of this even in light of the fact that you acknowledge that the University has a premium tier streaming service, on which you could view the game. You are the problem.

FYI, for those with Uverse, the game is on 1720, 1722, 1724, 1748, 1762, and 1772.

Except you clearly didn't read my post at all. My main complaint is that YOU CAN'T view the game on the University's premium tier streaming service. I'd absolutely love to give the University my money to watch the game, but I can't. And I have every sports package and premium tier available on Time Warner. The problem isn't that I have the wrong cable package, it's that I don't have UVerse available.

Really wish this thread would go away, instead of just getting attacked because I don't live in a place that UVerse has decided to lay their wires to. It's very clear now that most people on this board either live in Oklahoma or have satellite, but a whole lot of people out in the world don't. I guess myself, and one other guy who posted in this thread (who lives in UNT's home city) are the only people on this board effected. So sorry to inconvenience the rest of you with this thread.

Considering AT&T is now headquartered in Dallas, I thought the entire city has UVerse....unless you say you live in "Dallas" but actually live elsewhere.

Nope, I actually live in Dallas, but it's not available at my address. It's certainly available in a good number of neighborhoods throughout the city (much more than FiOS for instance), but not everywhere. I call them every few weeks to tell them to wire me up for it, but for some reason I don't have a huge amount of sway...

I don't like Uverse...maybe they have gotten better but my inlaws had it a year or so ago when we lived with them and I wasn't impressed. The reaction time was slow, it took a long time to load things, and they went through two dvrs in a couple months. I didn't think the user interface was very user friendly either...not that it wasn't simple but it just didn't flow.

We in the dallas area get screwed on all things OU. I don't have the game either and I am on Verizon Fios. I don't get to see much of the exclusive OU content with Fox. Just a few programs on FSSW. If it wasn't for the local station KTXA (a CBS affiliate) I wouldn't have gotten to see the OU-Alabama game.

I'll never understand the Dallas area. There a ton of OU fans in this region but there is practically no Television or Store supply to OU fans. For example, one thing that drives me crazy around here is department stores almost never have any OU gear. Like the local Kohls will have the usual Texas school gear (Texas, Texas A&M, ect.) and also Florida St, Miami, Notre Dame, LSU, Michigan, ect gear, but won't have any OU gear. It makes no sense.

I'm sure it's intentional. Don't want to give OU any advantage to market and get OU gear out to the people and let other people see. They used to in 70's and 80's would have a negative OU university article during RRR week in DMN. Don't know if they still do.

You are clearly the problem. The poster has explicitly stated MULTIPLE times that it is NOT available on the SoonerSports premium service. He has explained multiple times that he CANNOT get Uverse or sattelite services where he lives. Please learn to read before you attack someone.

Sounds like a money-making opportunity for some enterprising person.

I'm a DirecTV subscriber in Houston and it shows on a bunch of channels but they are all blocked out. Bummer.

Thanks for posting. Can't find the x on the ilivid ad though. Listening to it through soonersports.tv at least.

Yeah I refreshed a couple times until I got manageable ads. Just had to wait 30 seconds for the first one to go away then could clear out the others.
