I hope we do not take this game to lightly. Last game with them we shot lights out from the three and did not have much foul trouble that bothered us. We were out rebounded by about 20.

I don't understand why we are putting on a perimeter dribbling clinic. We should be passing the basketball especially inside then outside.

Not a good first half. They are taking the three from Aaryn and Morgan and Kornet can not hit the broad side of a barn.

Kornet should be told to never, never shoot just play defense and rebound.

Jaz should to told to never, never pass into the paint even if someone is wide open, she just cannot seem to do it.

When, not if, when Kornet starts hitting the baskets she will be a very valuable comodity. She is doing the other things OK.

The only way to get her going is for her to keep shooting.

I agree on Jas. I hoped she had developed a better offensive game but all she does is dribble around, turn her back and try a tough pass. I'm suprised that the defense guards her as close as they do.

I agree Kornet does other things well. I hope you are correct about her shooting, because right now she has had a lot of looks with no results. A win is a win but I thought this was ugly. Unfortunately we do not get to play Texas again. They are 2 of our conference wins. We really need some bench help and are not getting it.

Out celebrating the granddaughter's birthday and didn't get to see the game.

A feww observations from glancing at the box score.

Two total rebounds by your starting center is absolutely pathetic and inexcusable, but there's nothing Sherri can do about it. We have no bodies.

Morgan Hook better find her shot fast because we can't go on winning tough ball games when she's scoring in single digits.

Kornet and Portia have got to wake up soon.

Again, I didn't think Portia played that badly....she is starting to come around I think. I agree Nicole Kornet will be a good scorer and is doing great in the other areas.

You should actually watch the game, then respond to its nature. A box score can only tell you so much.

I was actually pleased with Nicole G's effort. She shut Imani McGee-Stafford down pretty well. She didn't secure rebounds well, but she did block others out. Morgan and Aaryn both looked lethargic to me, and yes, that's with Aaryn scoring 22. One thing is for sure, with such little depth, the starters are tired. Jo was a beast. I love her, for the most part. Poor Nicole K. I don't know if I'd be able to live with myself after missing several wide open layups like that. I mean, this kid was an All-American, which makes it even more disheartening. It's all mental, and she's got to fight through it, preferably soon. We need her.

Agreed. Nicole was blocking out pretty well
They didn't play offense very well in the first half but was much better the second half.

Nicole scored in double digits. She blocked out well and clamped down on Imani. Great.

But NO coach would ever be satisfied with NO defensively rebounds and 2 offensive boards from a 6-6 starting center -- unless they had 20 points or more. And I don't think they would even then.

Make all the excuses for her that you want, but that isn't. Good enough. The fact she got zero defensively boards is a Stat that also indicates she didn't block out as well as a couple of you think.

Stats don't always tell the entire story, but most times they do. Nicole has had a greatly improved season so far. I think it is probable she will continue to do so.

I hope she does.

I definitely would like Nicole G. to get more rebounds, and I hear what you're saying. However, as we've seen from several people before (i.e. Amanda Thompson, Whitney Hand, and even Sharane at times), height doesn't necessarily mean everything for rebounding. It's more about determination. Sherri might have told her to simply block out McGee-Stafford because of Nicole's relatively poor ability to secure the basketball. If that leads to an OU player getting the rebound, I'm fine with that, and I think Sherri would be as well.

Kornet was not the only one missing layups yesterday. I think everybody on the team missed at least one. Morgan always seems to miss two or three a game and so does everyone else. Not sure if they keep stats. on missed layups but it sure seems we have way more than our share. Maybe it is my imagination because they are easy to remember.

Nicole is never going to be a good rebounder. Many times she starts moving backward from the basket to get out of the way. It is not in her nature to be aggressive; therefore, she is going to leave the rebounding up to those who don't mind getting in there and being physical.

Kornet is very frustrating to watch shooting the basketball right now because she can't score. She missed a layup badly. But, I am confident that is going to change...I just don't know when. As I recall, she shot about 35% BTA in high school.

Last couple of games Nicole G. has reverted to her glass-hands problem a bit.

I thought up until that point she had been a lot better securing the ball so far this season. Maybe it's the quality of the opposition or just being tired or not concentrating enough.

Nicole has definitely improved this year and I hope it's a season-long thing. She is trying.

Morgan is going too fast on some of her moves to the basket and she is really, really struggling with her shot, something the announcers noticed in warm-ups before the Iowa State game.

She is clearly tired out there. Needs to try to get some rest, if possible and perhaps just slow down a bit on the drives. She's too far under the basket when she lets the ball go much of time.

But with Hartman providing zero help, there's nothing Sherri can do, except move Vegas to the point on occasion and that's not really any kind of answer.

I can't figure out what is wrong with Kornet. Shooters go in streaks and sometimes they can be long. Only thing that makes sense is freshmanitus.

Nicole Griffth is not what some of you want but to expect her to be a rebounding demon is crazy.Rebounding is something that not her strength and I which some fan would lay off of her.She is a good not great player.I do understand she is 6'6 but I person can only do what they can do.

I kind of agree with ielle. With Griffin, what we see is what we get. I think she is doing the best she can. I really get frustrated with her like a lot on here do. But I do not see her loafing and not trying . We would be in worse shape without her.
