OU vs ISU

When Peyton and LaNesia are making threes, you know it's a good day.
 
Maddie, LaNesia, Derica and Tona...& whoever the post is has done well.
 
Good first half. I look for ISU to make some second half shots they have missed in the first half.
 
We are winning the battle on the boards and we only have 4 turnovers.
 
We have missed Gioya and Sharane for the most part. In the past two games, most of Gioya's shots are not even close---air-balled threes, short jump shots hitting hard off the backboard. Where did her touch go? Good pass.

When Gioya and Sharane hit those two short jump shots, I thought they might be back to normal.

Gabbi and Peyton doing well. Kaylon doing well. Low turnovers.

Iowa State has not been hitting. For a really good free throw shooting team, they have missed the front end of two one-and-ones. They don't usually miss this many free throws. They aren't getting rebounds. Seanna Johnson hasn't had a good first half. I like Williamson having three fouls at the half..
 
It's amazing how much better the officiating is when we lead by 20. :)

They seem to be playing pretty good games, just not hitting. We are going to need their offense in future games.
 
52-39 OU, under 13 minutes left. Sooners have several fouls and TO's this half, TO's up to 9 for the game.

ISU is making a push. 12:30 left.
 
This one is about over. With 7:29 left OU leads 62-45.
 
Timeout OU with 3:55 left, OU leading 67-55.
 
OU leading by 12, with 2 seconds left Nikki Moody hit a three, OU won 75-66. Cyclones are now three games back of OU in second.
 
When we win the boards by 15, we're a pretty good basketball team.
 
Nicely balanced scoring for the Sooners today: Peyton 18, KK 14, Gabbi 11, Gioya 10, Maddie 9, LaNeshia 7, Sharane 4, Derica 2.

I wasn't happy with the turnovers (11) in the second half, but OU was easily too much for the slower Cyclones.
