OU vs Minn game thread

I think we may look back at this one at the end of the year as a huge win. After how poorly we shot the ball the first half, this was a really nice comeback win against a good team.

Great win!

Kruger’s go-to 5...
Manek, Doo, Williams, Reaves, Bienemy

Outside of his 2 3s Harmon really struggled. Better days ahead!

Harmon was sick. I don't think there is much question that he'll be on the floor at crunch time more often than not, but Williams was playing well and Lon was smart in sticking with him rather than putting Harmon back in given how well we were playing down the stretch.

For some reason my DVR didn't record the game, so I appreciate all the descriptions/info.

I don't want to overstate the significance of a game in early November, but I feel like this is going to be a win we'll be glad to have when it comes time to look at tournament resumes in March. Also, it's good to hear that a young/inexperienced team faced down some adversity away from home and took control of the game late.

The group that pulled this win out is not young. Sr/JR/Jr/Jr/Soph. They just don't have a lot of time playing together.

A loss would have fueled the board haters but they will eventually get their wish several times over because this isn't football. It's good to have wins while real game priorities are learned. We need several guys to learn fast.

Great to win games while gaining invaluable experience. As we hoped, this team has a high ceiling because it has so many good parts.

Good defense and free throw shooting are a good recipe to win a lot of games, especially on the road, and we have shown both of those in both games. Is it too early to mention Molinari's possible effect on the defensive end?

Too many good contributions in this one to mention all of them but Manek's effort in defending their big man stood out and Kruger mentioned it in his post game comments to the team.

Good win, let's do it again tomorrow night!

I gotta say, we looked really well organized defensively. I don't want to jinx it. It seems like the guys are really buying in. There was really only one lapse early that i remember. Man I hope we can play really good defense this year.

Cool. Then inexperienced. Either way, this team only has 3 players who have played more than 6 games at OU in their careers. I take a win away from home by a team that does not have a lot of experience playing together as a positive.

Better not, some on this board have said 2nd and 3rd assistants don't do anything.

Personally, I liked the hire and hope the defensive play continues through the entire season.

We were really good on the defensive end last year. That said, Molinari certainly is a good defensive coach from all reports, so he should help us continue that trend anf hopefully even get better.
