OU vs Tulsa

Is the webcast (on TulsaHurricane.com) free?

It appears to be "premium" which indicates they will charge to view the broadcast.

It's only $6.95 to watch for a one time fee. I think I will probably sign up and watch this one like I did the Pac 12 Network on Sunday night. That turned out well!

According to some posters here Tulsa will have the best player on the floor, I wounder if OU can pull it off...

I guess that I'll pay the subscription. $6.95 isn't bad. I'm subscribing to SoonersportsTV and a UVerse package that carries about a third of the OU games. Between them, it's about $25/month. I might move back to Norman and save money, except for the cold.

Tulsa isn't very good, winning only over Grambling and Arkansas which have two wins between them. I don't expect much of a game. But, I am interested to see how the chemistry is developing. I've only seen BYU and UALR recently.

I doubt we see the starters much in the fourth quarter.

Starters:

Kelsey Grovey 5-8 Sr G 12.3 ppg
Ashley Clark 5-11 Sr G 11.9 ppg 6.6 rpg
Teanna Reid 5-6 Jr G 10.0 ppg (two games)
Erika Wakefield 5-4 Soph G 9.9 ppg
Crystal Polk 6-2 Fr F 9.0 ppg 4.9 rpg

Antoinet Webster 5-9 Jr G 6.4 ppg
Te'era Williams 5-11 Jr F 5.7 ppg 4.8 rpg (may be injured, missed last game)
Jordyn Holmes 5-11 Soph G 3.9 ppg
Liesl Spoerl 6-1 Soph F 3.7 (only played in three games)
Tatyana Perez 5-6 Fr 2.3 ppg (the kid from Cypress Woods)

I'm not sure that Tulsa can compete with us on the boards. Having one player who is 6-2 is not conducive to playing with Kay Kay and Vivi inside. But, then, I guess North Texas was about the same size.

DePaul hung with Notre Dame for a while. ND has outscored them 31-10 thus far in the second quarter to take a 65-39 lead. The favorites are all winning big tonight.

Three minutes to go. These teams last played 12/21/08 with Courtney and DRob having double doubles (OU Twitter site).

OU 14-8 at the first break. Kay Kay with the first six. Wyatt has a three. Maddie has a three and a two.

I can not get the broadcast although I have a subscription and have paid!

OU 40-24 at the half

Maddie 12
Kay Kay 9
Vivi and Derica 6
Peyton 5
LaNesia 2

Tulsa is doing a good job of blocking out, and we have difficulty getting offensive boards (couple of fouls trying). We did get putbacks by Kay Kay and Vivi to end the first and second quarters, both just as the horn sounded.

Peyton not shooting well (2-7). T'Ona has been doing the things she does not do well, like driving into the middle and missing a shot because she is surrounded by trees. We have 9 assists and only three turnovers as a team.

Reid leads Tulsa with 6 on two threes. One player hit her first three of the year. Another was a 18% three-point shooter and hit a three. They've been a bit lucky.

McKenna has been mugged on rebounds, having had two taken away from her after she got them. Thus far, no calls. OU leads 22--20 on rebounds.

We started shooting well, but now down to 41.7%, 29.4% from three.

Officially, Tulsa has ten turnovers, and we have four.
