I am a big fan of Coach Baranczyk but I think her teams have to improve in the following areas:
1) More consistensy in defense: They are good when they are agressive and do a good job of checking on driving outside players. Don't have to double team them but usually a step toward her will cause enough hesitation to give the initial defender time to gain a better position and often stops the driver.
2) A better half court game. Good defensive teams slow down our quick offense and we struggle in the half court game.
3) Better shot selection and pass decisions. Too many shot from too far out and in a crowd inside. Rather than go hell bent to the basket pull up and pass off or shoot a mid range shot. Change of pace dribble would help. You never see UConn do what we do. Their three poing shooters are always close to the line and in position to shoot on receiving the ball. They rarely force a drive inside. We are more of a one on one team and can benefit with better ball movement and player movement and less forcing passes and shots.
Teams like Texas, LSU, and Vanderbuilt do a great job of forcing us to a half court game and beating us to the hoop inside
