They score more points than OSU

Ok I got that one out of the way...

What is your single key to the game?

Mine:

We get them in foul trouble via attacking the basket and taking charges.

Have to keep Spangler out of foul trouble. Been doing well as of late, but that was a huge killer agianst KU earlier in the year.

Redounding is also key. OSU is statistically a better defensive team. OU is a slightly better rebounding team. I think OU has to win on the boards.

Of course now that I said this the winning team will get out rebounded.

We need to handle their press. It really bothered KU. We have had good and bad moments against the press.

One thing I really liked about Sampson is his teams almost always made the other team pay for pressing. I hope OU breaks the press and attacks the rim immediately.

I hope our press does what it did to TTU. First press we've had all year that has helped more so than hurt us IMO

Perimeter defense. OSU hasn't historically shot well in Norman.

This.

I think the easiest way for OSU to win the game tonight is if they get a bunch of 3's to go down. OU has got to be careful about leaving shooters (Brown and Forte) to help on Smart. I hope we defend Smart the way a smart team would. Back off him a step or so, and don't let him get by you and into the lane. Make him shoot jumpers. I don't think he can beat us that way.

Perimeter D. I think we can let Smart get his, but we have to keep Brown and Forte under control.

I put this in the other thread also... the #1 key IMO is OU on the offensive glass.

If OU can get lots of second-chance points, OSU is in big trouble.

I think Jordan Woodard's contribution will be a big key for the Sooners. If Jordan's stat line is anywhere close to what he did against Texas Tech, our guys have an excellent chance of winning this game. I think it's likely we outrebound the Pokes (we'll outhustle them on the boards – we've got Ryan Spangler, after all).

They could win if they shoot really well from behind the arc.

Rebounding has already been mentioned, but I think FT's will be the difference. Whoever makes more will win. Whoever is the aggressor on offense and drives the ball to the goal will win.

This is predicated on the notion the new interpretation of the rules will be in affect.

OU will need to shoot good 3 percentage too
