If we had an 8 people inagural induction, who would yours be. Mine would be:

Wayman Tisdale
Bruce Drake
Billy Tubbs
Alvan Adams
Stacy King
Hollis Price
Mookie Blaylock
Garfield Heard

Blake, Harvey, Choo, Ryan, Tim McCalister just missing the cut.

How does Blake just miss the cut?

Lester Lane

Below is what is written about Lane in the OU Basketball Press Guide:
Les Lane (1,180):

The first Sooner to reach the 1,000 point plateau.

An All-Big Seven Conference pick in 1954 and 1955.

Garnered Helms Foundation All-America honors in 1955 when he averaged 19.6 points per game.

A guard on the gold-medal-winning 1960 USA Olympic Basketball team that went 8-0 in Rome.

One of only two 1,000 point scorers in OU history (Corey Brewer is the other) to have converted more free throws (418) than field goals (381) in his career.

Served as Mexico's head coach in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City (team finished in 5th place with a 7-2 record).

Lettered two years in football as a defensive halfback under Wilkinson and lettered in track and field as a pole vaulter.

Named OU BBall head coach in the spring of 1974 but died of a heart attack five months later without ever having coached a game.

If it's an OU Hoops HOF, their pro career - or lack thereof - shouldn't factor in.
