William Jennings caught up with several Sooner recruits and spoke about their recent unofficial visits to Norman during the OU/Utah State football weekend.

“Man the football game was great. If this is an example of the basketball atmosphere, it’s hard for me to imagine OU losing any games at home.”

Yep, the atmosphere is the EXACT same.

What would Lloyd Noble be like if they reconstructed the arena, and put a gallery or luxury area up top and made the seats closer to the floor?

One thing that the Oklahoma coaches use in recruiting are the big fan games. Whether it be Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, or the home conference opener. The state of college basketball in general is trending against the huge crowds, especially in the early non-conference. It was a problem at North Carolina last year. One thing about the Oklahoma Athletic department is that they do try to be creative to bring the crowd in. The biggest thing that's going to affect the crowd though is bringing in recruits like Blake Griffin and really good teams. So if you're an OU fan, you need to root for the coaches to land Perry Ellis and Julius Randle, because those are the type of guys that are going to make that impact.

thanks for the write up Greg. Great stuff as always.
