***OUHoops ESPN Tournament Bracket Challenge***

I filled out nearly 10 different brackets on Wednesday night. Obviously the one I put in this contest was one with a bunch of upsets. I wasn't that far off from jumping a bunch of spots. Doubt many had St. Mary's, and they lost by a bucket. Doubt the majority had Davidson, and they lost by a point. Three points, on a bracket that didn't even represent my "best" picks, and I'd probably be in the top 3. It happens. My A bracket is in much better shape, if that helps you sleep any better.

I used to pick a bunch of upsets and while I was proud I picked something equal to "Harvard" or "St. Mary's", my problem was I missed the next round which is worth more points because I held onto the upset picks too much.

So, now I usually pick the lower seeded team in the first round with a few upsets but then the 2nd round, I almost always go with the lower seeded from that point forward. I'm still not very good at picking brackets, but I'm better than I used to be.

Having said that, I had UNM going to the final 4 and UNLV going to the sweet 16. So, I'm not expecting much from this point forward unless Harvard can go all the way to the final 4, which is highly doubtful.

It's all in fun anyway, and DenverSooner isn't exactly tearing it up. However, he is ahead of brgch and bocabull, which isn't saying much. :ez-laugh:

He doesn't know me well enough to joke in that tone. It's Denver, he ain't joking.

You can infer tone from brief writings? That is impressive.

You were only singled out because you happen to be in last place. It wasn't a personal thing. You picked a bunch of upsets and were wrong. It isn't a big deal. Anyone can just pick the higher seeded team but that isn't a whole lot of fun.

We have a new leader Ben Woods. He got 25 of 32 first round games correct. There is a group of six just one game back including our prior leader Greenbug.

Also of note are OUsky and Stormspencer who are tied for last place with 17 of 32 games picked correctly in the first round. Stormspencer and faithfulsooner may be out (I didn't actually calculate it) because they picked Georgetown to win all. Anyone with Georgetown in the final four took a big hit yesterday.

How about FGCU. They beat Georgetown start to finish. I hope they beat SDSU.

The only positive thing to be said about my bracket is my Final Four teams are still alive.

Well, my entire right said is done after the first round...
I had Georgetown in the championship.

Come on Sparty! Salvage my bracket season!

Once again we have a new leader(s). Bvillesooner and Superhoops21 are tied for first place with 340 points. A group of three is just 10 points back. Bvillesooner, Bocabull and a few others got 120 points yesterday picking 6 of 8 games correctly. The bulk of us look like we were in the 80-100 point range. Ben Woods, our one time leader demonstrated some serious skill on the first day of the second round by earning an impressive 20 points.

OUsky101 is still in last place.

Gonzaga's loss was the big upset of the day. Those that picked Gonzaga for their final four (like me) and their overall winner (thankfully I did not pick them to win in the final four) might be in some trouble.

Go Florida Gulf Coast University!

Bville Looks like he will retain the lead. Go look at his bracket. It is impressive. With the exception of Gtown and Saint Louis he had all of the top 4 seeds that are gone out. He didn't always get the upsets correct but he sure seems to have known the over rated teams.

Well done Bville. If it was just luck don't admitted.

check out our brackets. There are a lot of zeros in the great 8. Only two people have a team in the final four at this point.
