Does anybody have any inside info about their team? I noticed Michael Sanchez has yet to play. Anybody know why? Can't remember if he has already redshirted. I know one of the few games he played last year was against OU. Not much of a factor that day with only 7 pts. But he did hurt us 2 years ago in Fayetteville with 12 pts and causing some of our inside guys to get in foul trouble. With the lack of size we have it would be nice not to have to face him on Wednesday. One less big to go against.

Looks like they are playing 11 guys. I wonder how much they are pressing.
Did anybody see them play in their loss to UAB yesterday?

Anybody know? Anybody care?

We are still finishing out the season right? :)

Nah dude...world ends in like 3 weeks. Oh wait that's in 2012.

Anyways I looked at their forum for a little bit and it seems like they're as down on their team as we are on ours over here. I think it's going to be a good, close game...it's important IMO for us to win this one because we are going to have a tough time @ Zona on Sunday...and coming back home with 5 straight losses would just be tough.

Their Forum that I looked at:

We're working on a Know your Foe feature similar to the one we just ran on Kentucky last week. Look for it later today.

Greg.

Awesome. Thanks. Guess I just jumped the gun a bit. I just cant wait to get this taste out of my mouth.

It was easier to handle the Kentucky and Virginia losses because there was hope for a win the next day. But after losing to Chaminade it is tough to wait a week for another chance to win.

Plus I'm really just trying to change the subject from everybody talking about how horrible they think this team is. Would be really nice to beat the Hogs again just to have something good to talk about and shut up all the doom and gloomers, if only until the next loss.

Sanchez is out 4-6 weeks with a leg injury he suffered during practice. Were pretty short on big men. Our best forward, Marshawn Powell is playing at about 60% right now. He broke his ankle during the summer and is still having issues with it. Were very deep at the guard spots but turnovers have been a problem so far. Our first real test was last week against UAB and although we played them to overtime, we lost and shot horribly. We shot 3-20 from 3 point range. The general strategy with most teams is to key on Rotnei Clarke and don't let him get any good shots. UAB did a great job doing that as he was 2-9 from 3PR and had to rush a majority of his shots.

Thanks for the info! Knowledgable posters like yourself are always welcome here IMO.

I have family on the Fayetteville campus that talk a lot about Pelphrey. I was wondering, how much longer do you expect him to keep his job?

Well, I thought this might have been his last year except he just signed one of the best recruiting classes in school history. I believe at last check it was ranked number 4 on rivals, number 2 on ESPN. I think that alone has saved his job at least for another season. Right now, attendance numbers are at an all time low. Were only bringing in about 5,000 per game at a 19,000 seat arena. Fans have exhausted their patience with the team but some are excited at the prospects of having a great team next season.
