OU's season is very similar to

I don't have a doubt in mind, I also don't have a doubt and know for a fact he did with players.

Add the cheating and now maybe a few posters on here realize why I said it makes me shudder when Capel is compared to Snyder. They are far from the same type of person from what I have heard from afar.

I don't care what one coach did or another but if Jeff has another year like this one he's gonna be on the hot seat. He may have a tough time lasting another season. Just like what happened with Snyder after an elite 8 and a couple bad years. Don't care if you do everything right, you lose you don't last long.

Ummm, the point was that the poster did not like the comparison between Jeff and Quinn becuase of off the court distinctions in their behavior. And don't think for a second that "doing things the wrong way" won't shorten your leash...they had a publc embarrasment that invovled the president of the University and were also put on probation. Think that had anything to do with his firing [quitting?]. Some of you negative nancy's are just thick-headed.

I'm comparing Snyder and Capel on the win loss basis. If Snyder won games there he wouldn't have gotten fired. Fact was Mizzou was losing. Same thing will happen with Capel if he has another year like this one.

Want to compare the two....you can start when Capel has 3 bad seasons in a row, he gets OU placed on probation, he gets "caught" snorting cocaine at a state basketball coach's convention, and cheats on his wife with a co-ed which results in a divorce.

There is a reason he has been blacklisted from the college game....

I get exactly what you are saying...just another opportunity for some to call for a guys job. That said, I want to party with Quinn!

I sure hope you are correct about all of that because it is an awfully slanderous statement if you are not correct. If you are even partially wrong, Snyder deserves better. He has to get his act together (whatever caused his downfall) and support himself and his family (if he has one). A bunch of rumors are not going to help.

3 bad seasons = fact
NCAA probation = fact
divorce = fact

and it didn't take long for someone to post what I was hinting at.....it is obvious it is reasonably well known.

But you didn't just talk about, bad results, NCAA probation and a divorce. You mentioned an affair with a coed and cocaine use at a specific event.

Anyone that has been married and is committed to their marriage can tell you it is hard work even without infidelity. Unfortunately, they don't all work. I am just suggesting if you are not positive about the drug use and infidelity it may be better to not talk about it.

PS - You picked a bad dad to talk smack about Uconn.

Oh, I trust my source very thoroughly. Like I said, I only hinted at it and someone filled in the blank rather quickly (see the thread)

I've been married for 10 years. LOL

And yep, nice win for UConn. There season is still a disappointment overall, but it was a nice win after being called out by their coach after a loss. Wish some of our guys would respond to a verbal lashing

Yep....but UConn at least showed some heart on Monday. See if they can sustain it.

Burger Boy U. has also crashed and burned.

After a win against #7 WV, they are now 17-11, and only one game below .500 in conference. In the last couple of weeks, they've beaten a top 5 team on the road, a top 10 team at home, and lost a close one on the road to another top 5 team. They also beat the team that is probably our best win this year (UT), by 14.

Calhoun is doing a good job of improving his team. Not sure I can say that about Capel. We showed good effort last night, but I wouldn't say we played particularly well.

After I posted this thread, they have played very well. They are now a bubble team and probably on the good side of it.

Guess the verbal smack down after the Cincy game worked.

1.) UCONN needs a bid regardless of their record...they would kill Lunardi's last four in.

2.) Comparing them to OU's performance last night is weak...look at UCONN's roster (especially upperclassmen) compared to OU.

3.) Quin did coke? No way! That place was a complete zoo while he was in charge, have some good stories about Spencer Laurie's recruiting visit, but I'm not going to share them here.

Still think OU and Uconn are having similar seasons?

Well, with UConn getting pummeled by St. Johns, looks like AP Preseason
#6 UNC
#12 UConn
#15 Michigan
#17 OU

are not going to the NCAA tourney. So, yes, "SIMILAR" seasons. And no one cares about NIT bids....well, I guess a few people do, but it is NCAA tourney or bust.

And #18 Mississippi State,
#21 Dayton
#22 Georgia Tech
#23 Illinois
#25 Minnesota

Are all on the bubble, with a good number of those teams on the bad side of it.

AND NO, THIS DOESN'T MAKE OU'S SEASON ANY LESS DISAPPOINTING.
