This is now two seasons in a row that his silence has been deafening re: the status of our head basketball coach. This is now two seasons in a row that said silence will almost certainly adversely affect recruiting. If Capel does end up being our head coach next season then Joe C. deserves a lot of criticism for his inaction.

Seriously Joe, we will not be able to sign anybody until you say that our coach is back. every minute that you don't other coaches are telling Gerrero, Jurick, etc that our coach is going to be fired.

The only explanation is the NCAA investigation. If there has been some evidence that implicates Capel he could be waiting for the appropriate time to see if it proves true. Because barring that getting rid of Capel would be a stupid hair trigger decision and Joe C is not some minimum wage message board hysteric.

Joe is pretty much screwing us no matter how you look at it. If he keeps Capel he is wasting time that could be spent convincing recruits to sign with OU. If he fires Capel he is wasting time for a new coach to get settled in and find out which players stay along with trying to find more scrubs to fill schollys....
