Pelphrey fired at Arkansas

I have also heard Ford might be on the short list. The Ark. AD is Fords best friend and hired him at one of his previous schools, I can't remember which one.

propoke, are you hearing anything on Ford hiring Pelphrey as an assistant. My father in law seems to think this will happen

is this confirmed? great news if true, martin and ford don't appear to get along at all.

EKU. That would be surprising, one if Arkansas was interested in him, after just firing another former UK/Pitino disciple. Two, if Ford went for it, if offered. Arkansas is probably a better job, but I don't know if it's better enough to uproot his family, etc... again. 4 jobs in 9 years would be hard to sale to the family, I'd bet.

But, who knows.

I'd be pretty surprised if Pelphrey became an assistant coach, seem like he'd be a fit for a mid-major again. He did good at South Alabama.

Did you hear anything about the cold shoulder the two gave each other after the game in Stillwater?

I've been reading some Arkansas boards lately (been enjoying the rumors of Anderson being a done deal... which they've been saying for about three years). They seem to believe their AD is going to push for Pelphrey to get the Western Kentucky job (didn't even know it was open, didn't bother checking). They want to make sure he's coaching somewhere to lessen the amount they have to pay in a buyout. I don't know if it matters how much he gets paid to coach and/or if being a head coach vs. assistant matters, but I expect him to be coaching in some capacity next season.
