If I remember correctly, it came down to the Sooners and Aggies when Peyton committed. Well it was worth the wait. Welcome Peyton to the Sooner family. A shame we have to wait a year to see her in the Big XII, but I think she is going to make us very tough to beat. :woot :woot
I found an article that said Peyton was contacted by all of these schools, although I don't know which ones offered:
Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas, Stanford, Maryland and UConn
You may recall that she originally committed to Texas, decommitted, and then committed to A&M.
My memory is a little foggy, but after she decommited, she made a visit to OU and had a great visit. I remember a "Tweet" from Nicole and it sounded like we might get her. A week or two later she visited A&M and chose the Aggies. I think Kornet was a little disappointed, but so it goes. I'm glad we have her for three years of playing time.

how many transfers from other d1 programs has Sherri accepted over the years? I don't recall any.
Theresa Schuknecht comes to mind (technically she transferred to OU from Southern Nazarene, but she started out at Arizona State).
