OU and KU played for the national title in '88. The Sooners won the Big 8, but Kansas was 3rd. Who was 2nd and who coached that team?

James Fraschilla

This banquet has been great! The 1988 team was truly a great team and really motivates my teammates and I work harder everyday! #boomer

I want our fans not to THINK we are going to win in LNC, but to KNOW that we are, like they did in 1988. #ALUMNIreunion #Soonerhoops

Jim Ross Tweet:

@PeteMoris @SoonerHoops @soonerad @LonKruger .. Hope #boomersooner nation gets behind Coach Kruger. Great hire. Students need to pack LNC!

I don't know who that is, but I don't think it's Brewer.

Kansas State, Kruger

Biggest ovation of the afternoon, besides the starters.... Kenny Evans... Long Live Top Daug!!

My family and I had a great time at the reunion this afternoon. I'm not very good at estimating the attendance, but there was a very nice turnout to see members of the '88 team honored, and to cheer loudly as players and coaches from every decade since the 40's were welcomed back. Our grandson left happy with the autographs of every player on this year's team, plus a few legends on hand.

As for the game, I'm just glad no one got hurt, passed out from exhaustion, or worse. Let's put it this way: Yo Yo and two former walk-ons, Franklin and Gerber, were the best players on the floor from both teams. Ya think conditioning might have had something to do with that? lol Szendrei was a rebounding machine, he finished with 25 boards. Michael Neal and Kelley Newton also played well.

I believe that everyone in attendance will agree that this year's reunion bash was a tremendous success!

Thanks for the info. Did you see Woodard and/or Hammond there?

To be honest, WT, I forgot to look for the recruits visiting this weekend.

We hung around after the game to meet and greet the players on our current roster. You couldn't ask for a nicer, more polite and personable group of kids. My entire family came away impressed with everyone we met. Also took part in the pic for this year's poster. That should be interesting! lol

When the poster comes out, you'll have to let us know which one is you. ;)
