Some of you are more dramatic than a high school girl. Programs get turned around all the time. Often when within a short period of time because one or two players can do it quickly. Look at Baylor. They received the 1/2 death penalty for goodness sake and they are vastly improved. They lack discipline and I don't want Drew, but they got very good, very fast after their NCAA trouble.
Here is why it may be better shopping next year then it would be this year. We don't know what additional sanctions may be coming from the NCAA regarding Tiny Gallon. I still think we get some probation out of that.
There are a lot of great reasons to be the coach at OU. Great football exposure, so plenty of money. Good conference. A top 20 program over the last 30 years. Great bosses. I think the fear of probation will be the problem. I wonder how much it made it difficult to bring in a head coach the last time around. Was Capel the first choice of Castiglione, or was the best option of the interested parties? And I like Capel, but you have to wonder.
