He is a 2 guard!
I think him playing point is affecting him in multiple ways, he's a shooter first but because he's a team player he's changing his mindset to try to run the point. Throwing off his shot and stuff, lets give Blair and Newell chances at the point and get him off the ball where I bet he will be a lot more comfortable. Not much left to lose.

But he's playing sub par when he's in the two spot with Blair running the point. He's just not making good decision. Shots not falling and he's making poor passes on the perimeter. You think all of this is because playing time at the point? There have been a few time these last two games that I have found myself questioning whether he is hustling or not.
He lost his confidence last year.
Maybe I'm just being optimistic but perhaps its the fact he's been practicing and thinking as a point guard recently he can't get out of his mindset. We really need to just let Pledger move back to his mindset as a shooter, it will improve his confidence in a lot of ways as when shots are falling the rest of his game should step up.
Maybe he's just an average basketball player
