Yesterday Baylor took 51 shots and Sims took 30 of those. When you get 60% of your teams shots it easy to put up #'s. I will take Stewart all day before Sims.

It has a lot to do with the assessment that some have that Sims elevates Baylor more than Stewart elevates UConn. Elevates them to what?

Sims cannot win games by herself. If she has a great game and the others have a bad game, they will still probably lose. Look at Della Donne. She could only do so much.

But when you have a player who shoots 45% from the field and 45% from BTA you want them to take the majority of shots.

I think you are trying to fabricate a resume when she doesn't really need one. She hasn't really proven, this year or in the past, how high she can carry a team. Either the past three years, she has had a good team, or a lot of people have overrated them. She, as a point guard, is supposed to be the steady hand in a key game. Yet, they only won one title with all that. Was she not the steady hand otherwise?

She has shown that she can play well as an individual. I question whether she can do it on a national scale because I think she gets away with a lot in the Big Twelve. In the past, that advantage isn't as pronounced in the NCAA tournament.

You want an announcement today. I have made it clear---no. I want to see the tournament. Right now, I lean to Stewart, and it is up to Sims to show me different.

That's my point, how well Baylor does on a national basis has nothing to do with whether she was the best player in the country this year. If they don't win another game, what Sims has done this year does not change.

1. It changes how I view her.

If she were to do it against inferior competition or with specific advantages in officiating, I would be less inclined to give her an award. I question both her competition this year and the officiating of her performance in the Big Twelve.

Why is it so important that I agree with you? I don't. I said that I wanted to wait and see.

I don't think so in a team concept. U Conn wins every year because they are a team with superstars on it. We will see what happens with Baylor when Sims and Griner are gone.

If Stewart played on a team outside of the talent of UCONN, then I bet she would take the majority of the shots too! She is surrounded by talent and can focus on sharpening other areas besides scoring, like Sims did last year with her defensive pressure.

Odyssey is POY nationally with no doubt and for those who thinks she will struggle at next level, get ready to eat crow!!!!!!!!!!! Sic'em!!

Ah the Baylor homer is back. I will still take Stewart.

Agree Sims will do well at the next level. It is difficult for me to pick between Bria Hartley and Sims. I kind of think Sims should win it but do not know if she will.

Bria Hartley is great but Sims is better IMO. Sims statistically have been better then Hartley all four years on both ends of the floor. My hate for Mulkey and Baylor doesn't affect my judgment.

Well we don't know what Hartley would do in a different situation. She's been able to be the PG for four years and not had to be the focus. and this year she plays with another top shelf PG so how many teams can do that?

And to say Stewart would be shooting 30 times a game somewhere else is ridiculous.

Odyssey only averages 7 more shots a game than Stewart, sooooo yeah I could see her shooting more if they switched teams and Stewart was at Baylor or OU for that matter.

Elevated them to the top of the Big 12. Number one seed this year(again).

I agree with that. If we had Stewart I would darn sure want her to be the main scoring threat and take the majority of shots just as Aaryn does now.

We've been there as much or more than Baylor. Is that the goal?

Absolutely! When we were at the top of the Big 12, we had a chance to make it to the Final Four. I would give anything to be back to that level. Right now, we are headed in the wrong direction.

I can understand the opinions of got mulk and true colors since they are over school loyalty which is willing to forgive transgressions as well as the violation of the spirit of academia. Your preference for Baylor's way is a bit more curious.

My comments are not about Baylor. My comment deals with OU. See if you can understand it this way. Sherri's first goal every year is to win the Big 12. The next goal is to win a NCAA. If we don't reach the first goal, it is highly unlikely we will accomplish the second goal.
