would appreciate it is any of you that go to a practice, now that Williams is in, will give us a take on how he looks. I am intrigued by his potential based upon what some have said about him. However, these were reports based upon his junior college play. I would like to see what people think about Izzzansa and Williams now that they are playing against and with better players. Thanks in advance.

I havent seen practice but got a text about williams. Guy can play, feel like he can be a effective scoring punch off the bench.

Me too, cowboysooner! I’ll add two other newbies I’m excited about, Jalen Hill and Victor Iwuakor.

This is going to be a very deep team. But there are so many new faces, we may not have a feel for who will make up the top eight or nine players in our rotation until the season is well under way. One thing appears to be certain, quality depth will not be a problem.

Here’s an excellent article from Soonersports.com with lots of good information about the team and the players. It was posted over there more than a month ago, but I don’t recall seeing it here. If I missed it, sorry for the duplicate post.

I still contend he can give us 10 ppg. Williams that is.

Saturday practice at 10 in the practice gym. Sad but I can't make it.

I went to practice this afternoon. I don't claim any more knowledge than being a longtime fan. First thing that stands out is all the size and not the heavy leg plodding size like Polla but height. Issanza is not slow down the court for 7'1". Corbin is a bit thicker and I didn't see him above the rim but he appears to have some scoring skill, played some 4 with Issanza on the floor. At this point Kur doesn't appear challenged for his pt. Like what the article stated, AG has a 3pt shot, athleticism and 6'9"ish, playing wing, potentially a great signing down the road. Jalen Hill would certainly be in the rotation 9 out of 10 years but like the article said it's possible there is too much in front of him. Alondes Williams looks good, nice stroke, looks physically strong and being a juco doesn't have to take on a heavy load early. Devion Harmon seems to be as advertised, exactly what I expected, point, team leader, tough, skilled. He and Jamal give us a very very strong pair of ball handlers. So on paper I expected more talent to go with our 3 returning starters but I didn't expect Austin Reaves to look like a contender for B12 POY. This was just 1 practice so if this was his best day all week I may be over selling him but if this is his baseline at the beginning of the season then I think he is our best player and leading scorer.

Great report! Reaves is going to be really, really good. Who knows if he is going to be POY level, but I'm confident the way you saw him play was not a fluke in any way.
