He was the first to report that "the offer was still on the table" a couple of days ago after Kruger initially turned it down, and he was the first with the news today.

I know some of you guys don't like him nor do you care who breaks the story, and I admit Tramel can be a bit zany at times, but as someone who dabbles in journalism I know how hard it is to get these scoops. I also enjoy his work overall and he's a great guy.

I'm am glad he got the scoop on this rather than the national media types. Tramel haters flame away. :)

Yep. I was reading the transcript of his chat from yesterday and in the chat he mentioned he still thought Kruger was involved even though he had reportedly said "no thanks".

Berry is a very good journalist. He's as good at covering local sports as anyone anywhere.

We rip on Berry a lot, mainly for all of his puff pieces, but he's likely the best in OK. I'm not sure that's good or bad.

This discussion yesterday on the animal makes a lot more sense today. Al was trying to say that Joe had not talked with Lon, and Tram was adamant that he did. It seemed weird at the time how forceful Tram was about Joe talking to him. Tram went as far to have first hand knowledge that conversations took place. Must have been hard not to blurt out, "they are still talking you."

It's always interesting after the fact to go back and look at who really knew what. It appears Berry was in on this (as much as anyone) the whole way.
